You totally miss the religous fanatical mental state of Iran's leaders. Islam is more of a death cult than a religion. If a mooslum follows the Koran strictly, they would be what folks today call an Islamist.
"Peaceful" mooslums folks talk about today are simply mooslums that don't strictly adhere to the Koran.
Also, they want to bring about the end times. Chaos, wars, disease, famine, are required for the "Mahdi" to appear.

Mahdi is a messianic figure in Islamic eschatology expected to appear near the end of time to eliminate injustice and tyranny, restoring peace and righteousness

It is obvious they don't want to give up their nuclear ambition. It is a hill they are willing to die on. Sadly we most kill them off to rid the world of their insanity.

Why won't Iran just agree to the terms of surrender?
IRGC is a death cult like Hamas and the Houthi.
Human life means nothing to them.
Iranian politicians want peace, they are worried about dying and their economy restarting.
IRGC don't care.

Religious zealots want to be martyred.

Clearly you’ve never been to the Middle East

The goal of the Iranian regime was to survive the bombardment and continue on. They have achieved that goal. They view themselves as having “won” the war because they are still there and still in control.

Prof Marandi, who has been making the round on podcasts, said something like they consider it their "soil." They probably feel, why can the rest of the planet have uranium, but not us? Also, they see what happened to guys like Qaddafi and probably figure you cannot reason with the U.S. - better to die on your feet than live on your knees and all that.

While we understand the irrational aspect to the radical Islamic fundamentalist state, this statement is quite rational. The mullahs have likely concluded that without a nuclear weapon they are probably toast. It is difficult to argue with that proposition.

It’s a mistake to think of Iran as a singular entity. It’s a bubbling cauldron of competing politicians jockeying for control of enormous wealth. No one person, or committee, has control of them.

All you need to know is that they are being advised by the Democrats strictly for political purposes so they can get Trump!

Never underestimate the will of the sand people.

Iran gets how far out we've stuck our neck on this one. They know Trump can't afford to commit troops and if he keeps shelling cities, more dead schoolgirls are going to show up in the news again eventually. They have an advantage and they know it. Pretty clear Trump knows it, too.
Fairly similar to the advantage Hitler had in 1944.

Probably because they're more scared of Hillary once it's confirmed she sold them the Uranium.

There is speculation that the source might be the US.
Wouldn’t be a surprise and the administration or other party responsible is fighting like hell to keep that info buried.

I've seen spin in my time, but damn. He goes any harder on that he'll start losing consciousness from the blood being diverted from his brain...

We could do a deal where we take the uranium and process it into reactor fuel only for electric power and give it back.

Who exactly is speculating that?
Not a "senior unnamed source" I hope...
The Uranium One deal - an Obama-era deal that gave Russia control over some US-produced uranium.
There is speculation that Russia gave some of the US-produced uranium to Iran.
