Having a family on one health plan, plus routine medical costs is completely unaffordable, even if everyone is healthy and its mostly just young kid stuff and pregnancy related medical costs. God for bid, someone has to go to the ER for something.

It has got to the point, you cannot even raise a family on a single income around $100K. No wonder millenials are just getting dogs instead. Obama lied.

First off, there's nothing about that industry that's actually "healthcare."

Obama helped screw that industry up worse than it was already.

The proverbial elephant in the room might be that we have a very unhealthy population that consumes more "healthcare" than what should be required

Because we do sick care. Which is significantly more expensive. Instead of really pushing healthy lifestyle changes to cure diseases we prescribe lifelong drugs to treat symptoms. Couple that with a growing trend of people using emergency rooms as primary care.

Notice how big of a push for “fat is healthy and beautiful” is happening? Which is why is was a joke when liberals told us to trust the science.

This is accurate. Truth is , if you are fit and eat right, after 15 or 16 you really shouldn’t require much until you are in 70s unless it’s due to trauma or you get unlucky with cancer, ect.

So health insurance should just cover emergencies and catastrophic incidents.

The whole point of Odumbf*ckCare was to make it so that people who were doing the right thing would get f*cked. In the end, you not only had to pay for you and your family's healthcare, but you also had to pay for the healthcare of a bunch of Odumbf*ck's lazy arse, f*cking voters.

Only, instead of doing it as some sort of direct tax, Odumbf*ckCare simply used the health insurance companies to collect from you to pay for the scumbag Odumbf*ck voters. They are getting the same exact health insurance you’re getting, not paying a f*cking dime for it and you are getting the honor and privilege of paying for all of it

Odumb*ckCare is one of the most disguised, hidden, and MASSIVE f*cking indirect taxes in the history of mankind.

Which became exponentially more unhealthy when the government told them to lock themselves inside and order Uber eats for two years.

That is indeed a factor.

A generation of idiots addicted to electronics and averse to hard work doesn't help matters.

1. You're paying for the throngs of people who have no insurance.

2. You're paying for the throngs of people who go to the ER for anything, even things as minor as a hangnail.

3. There is a massive shortage of doctors and nurses (when looking at the demand).

4. The need for insurance in the first place (doctors need clerical staff who do nothing but deal with insurance companies, that staff costs money and that cost is put on the consumer).

5. Our overly litigious society. The term "ambulance chaser" came about for a legitimate reason.

6. Our increasingly unhealthy foods and lifestyles as a society.

All of these have compounding effects.

This. They pass legislation to require/provide more and better healthcare, which means more and more costs. Drug companies, medical device companies, insurance companies, hospitals, doctors networks are all paying big bucks to our politicians to help them all make more and more profits.

We pay for Healthcare through a 3rd party....our insurance. Many doctors won't even see you without it. Only way to pay that 3rd party is increased cost. Also, there's a contractual deal between the 3rd party and your doctor that requires the 3rd party to pay if the doctor deems it to be required, so there's no incentive to give you cost effective care. Doctor doesn't care if the syringe is 3,000% higher than it really should be, the prices have been inflated over time and it's agreed upon that insurance will cover up to that price. That's why health care is broken. That relationship hiding the costs from true market forces.

1) We are a litigious society
2) We are an unhealthy society that puts low priority on eating well and taking time off from work to do annual check-ups.
3) Obamacare/health insurance leeches
4) Healthcare is a for profit industry with a predatory pricing structure with providers and insurers — the consumer has no negotiation power and gets fricked.
5) We’re about to have a healthcare worker shortage as the population ages.

I heard Dana Perino say yesterday that only 22% of the schools in this country have PE classes for their students. That's pitiful.

If we look at other countries, they take measures to cut costs. All the pressure in our country is to push prices up.

In India, for example, they have a hub and spoke model where each hospital specializes in certain things. Not every hospital has every piece of advanced medical equipment know to man. They are more efficient in the use of that equipment. They also reuse medical equipment where safe. They use generic drugs. They reassign less specialized work to lower paid staff. The use telemedicine much more. The regulatory and liability burden is much lower.

The cost of surgery in India is about 10% of what it costs in the US even AFTER you factor in higher salaries in the US.

Indigent care is factored in the premium for medical care. Including the cost of prescriptons. And since America is supporting millions of illegals swarming across our southern border the cost of medical care keeps rising for everyone.

To put it simply. The democrats get voters, the taxpayers and such get the bill, including the bill for healthcare for indigents.

So remember that next month when you fork up that increase in co-pays and deductibles.

Now you tell me Plugs says we should do more to support illegals and immigrants.

I support legal immigration. My ancestors were immigrants. A country without borders, is not a country.
