Or 350.

I know someone that drove from PA to TX to go to a Joel shin dig and she thought as a donor going to the retreat she thought she would get a nice hotel room. It was a dumpy halfway house with rats; and she said they helped no one. Yet it was too late she had given Joel her life savings.

I've sent that pic to an actual Joel attendee. The response was that God blessed him with the money. That's what his followers believe.
To believe that, one must also believe that God has chosen to NOT bless the poor.

Seems like this could be a scene from the Righteous Gemstones.

I am looking around the web on this story and so far...
Joel collected insurance money from the missing $600K on or around 2014.
It is being said the statute of limitations would have enabled him to discover the money in the wall and spend/keep it freely
How many other times has he done this and a stranger didn't discover the money in the wall? Or was the plumber called TO discover the money gosh darn.
Now Joel can cash the checks and pocket the cash. The plumber should have taken the envelopes home and grabbed the cash.

No bank is going to negotiate a check that is 7 years old.
But that's the weird thing... why would the missing checks be considered unrecoverable at the time of the "theft"? Just get your donors to write you a new check...
Now the cash, yeah, he can keep that

It has been 7 years since the $600K went missing. Is that the statute of limitations?
The divine just doubled Joel's money
Does the plumber get a cut?

Valid point on 7 year old checks. But he can deposit them and see what sticks, no?
They did an experiment on checks dated in 1865 and signed by Mickey Mouse and they cleared.

Maybe. Especially if they have a remote deposit machine. Some might bounce if account closed, etc.
I'd laugh if the bank got pissed at all of the returned deposits...

Meh. He gets a W-2 and pays taxes.
Unless he's not actually getting a paycheck...

I had a coworker who literally sings in this dudes choir. I made him cry once because I said “I like trump as president, I think he’s doing a pretty good job.” Literally started trembling and crying.
Needless to say, I never asked how he felt about the money Joel Olsteen makes. What’s weird is my coworker was a marine. I just don’t know.

My Aunt kept money in the door.
