All the media outlets are bleating the same things about the evils of vaping.

This is coordinated and is textbook how public opinion is manipulated. What is the real reason behind this sudden push?

I don’t trust anything I hear from those apparatchiks.

Control and power. It's none of their damn business what I choose to put in my body.

The latest report said 42 people died of ‘vaping related illness’. What were the other factors? 42 out of 350 million is .000012%

It’s such bullshite and anyone who digs for 15 seconds knows that the medical events are not caused by stock products from store shelves, but rather products that have been tampered with and had things added to them / repurposed that causes a chemical reaction in the lungs.

Knee jerk reactions without critical thinking.

It is concerning that a few died out of nowhere, but there isnt clear facts and they are ignoring the tens of thousands that die from cigarettes everyday.

If the population gets stoned they'll be alot harder to manipulate and control.

Follow the money. The feds have tried to lump pipe tobacco and cigars into this deeming bullshite. Cigars will be ok but I fear for the pipe tobaccos I love because the only way I can buy them is online.

I think one of the theories is big tobacco wants more control/market share. My friends who vape say it's garbage and if you just buy products from normal companies and not cartridges with rat poison from a gas station, you're fine.

It's the same reason for the "War on Opiates". About 18 people died in all of EBR parish last year during the Opiate Crisis. Which isn't a crisis at all. The crisis is fricking heroin (mixed with fentanyl) and additional drugs mixed together to enable an easy overdose. There is nothing at all wrong with opiates by themselves. Probably 95% of the people who take them, take them like they are supposed to and move on with their lives. Vaping has killed like 30 people nationwide and is now an "Epidemic". Jeezus frick an epidemic used to be thousands or hundreds of thousands of people. Now it takes like 6 people to suddenly become an epidemic. The gov't has too much control over our lives. They control what medications we can take, what kind of straws we use, what bathrooms we can use. We as a society need to wake the frick up and see what's happening to Mother Liberty!

Idk but the tobacco lobby is doing work with the public freak out over a handful of “vaping deaths” all the while being responsible for over 500k deaths a year

It became popular enough where it was hurting the profit margins of tobacco companies.

Funny part is, that the only kids who died were from black market THC vapes that were manufactured in someone's basement.

I have vaped nicotine daily since I quit smoking 3 years ago, and I have done THC vapes at least weekly for a year since I started my job that doesn't test (and pays me 20% more - love this job).

Never gotten a respiratory illness since I quit smoking, where I used to get bronchitis 1-2 times a year when smoking a pack a day.

The only reason it is a problem now is that big tobacco is taking it in the shorts and they ae tired of it. Also propaganda is literally legal since 2012, so the media can quite literally print anything they want without repercussions.

If the money just sits in a bank it cannot be stolen.

But if you piss it away, a percentage can be misappropriated.

Vaping isn't really the problem. The black market shite ppl buy for vapes ARE the problem.

Based on media coverage, I believe they are all as a result of Mass shootings in gun free zones by fully automatic weapons.

Yes it is. Most of these have been black market weed vapes. It's very concerning that you can order them online.

FWIW I have a mmj card and it's very concerning to me. My stuff is regulated, but I dont want idiots messing w chemicals and passing them off.

I dont vape and think people should do what they want, but I'm against idiots making shite in their basement. Note how I'm not blaming vape here.
