Not how it works. If you are deemed too expensive you will be replaced, no matter how good you are at your job. Being selected as Employee of the Quarter in Q4 2023 at my last job (out of 500+ corporate employees) didn't save me from being replaced by an Indian.

I know I've commented on this issue. You made a comment and you're not giving specific examples.
You seem to be confused as to what is actually going on, and I was going to work with you through that so you understand the bigger picture.
I have always criticized MAGA's economic leftism. Watching MAGA baws who once claimed to be fighting socialism now arguing for it, is quite the sight to see. Your issue is that you don't seem to understand which one is the real MAGA or not, in this civil war.

I showed my replacement the data warehouses, explained to him various parts of the business, and that type of stuff. The company was super pissed about that but it wasn't a part of the deal for me to get my severance so there was nothing they could do. I told them you want to replace me surely enough this super talented and capable replacement can code all of the framework and processes I had in place.

Functional code and good code are not the same thing. As someone who does some coding in order to create interfaces and utilize APIs as part of my job as a systems engineer I do not have nearly the same skill level as our two on-site developers. We do sometimes outsource pieces of projects to other firms when it makes sense from a time management standpoint the work done always has to be cleaned up before being being reconciled into the production applications.
