re: Why doesn’t Vivek, Elon and Sachs just outsource code monkeys instead of H1Bs?

Funny how quick he was to excuse a lack of progress in India

Is he not looking for cheap labor?
He's looking for enough labor to run a business at full throttle.

Good people leave India, to come here.

You're totally clueless. Keep arguing conservatism is mass importation of street shitters.

This is really funny in the context of vivek.

He's a grifter, but hes not wrong here.
Indian brain drain.
quote:
The converse of “Brain-Drain” is “Brain-Gain”: the phenomenon in which the global west has developed largely because of the work of influential individuals who immigrated to the west from countries like India.

Youre about to be totally broke, mainly due to issues you support.

That’s putting it incredibly mildly.
Ramaswamy has never actually made anything.
Seems like his biggest accomplishment is convincing a ccp owned bank to “invest” in his biotech company that never actually made anything.

Why are tech companies in India not kicking our arse?

San Francisco (tech center) already has them. They look a lot like you do.

My point is, it’s very easy to avoid the H1B visa process by outsourcing especially for these tech firms that need coders.
Why are they needed anyway? A few good coders who know how to prompt ChatGPT correctly can take the place of 20 good foreign coders.

Socialists how?
If you don’t import Indian labor to code at Tesla they think Trump is going to get the federal government to take over the means of production at Tesla, I guess. Or arguing for domestic labor is not capitalism some how. Who knows? It’s confusing because I’ve seen no one in this thread arguing for the government to take over these tech companies but a lot of people being called socialists.

Bahaha this is how I know you've never been to India. It's an anomaly in that they can have so little regard for hygiene or cleanliness & still have positive birth rates. No doubt, anytime now they will be the smartest, safest, cleanest, friendliest place on earth.
If you could read, you wouldn't have to embarrass yourself with this
Their population negatives were specifically referenced in the post

Will be the reality soon enough.
These workers are just stop gap IMO.

How many people does it take to support a tech power?
It takes the right men, which they lack (and we have in abundance)
That's typical of their placement in the economic development curve, though.
They have lots of Indians and too few chiefs
We have too many chiefs and need more Indians

As if that is how "socialist" is used in the common parlance. Especially on here.

The labor side of capitalism is capitalism too.
No one is arguing for the federal government to take over any of these businesses. Just because you favor corporate management over labor does not mean the other side is socialists. It’s just the other side of the equation within capitalism.
