That’s not getting to its markets.

Temporarily, yes. Do you think that they want to do that long term?

Trump jumped into a deal after meeting with Xi

Coincidence? I think that's not likely

I doubt China can bear the brunt of the costs of the SOH disruption indefinitely

Correct. And it would be foolish to think they don't have levers they can pull to hurt us. There seems to be a lot of prevailing ignorance that we always hold all the cards. We don't.

Dude, the Saudis would be shutting in wells if that was the case. They actually ramped up production.

You obviously don’t know how oil production works.

Everyone promoting Trump celebrated the June 20 data, and that is about half the 2025 rates

The fact that Saturday's rates were cut by 80% isn't a great sign that the SOH is "open". That's 20% of 50% of 2025 rates.

I know you desperately want the global economy to be brought to its knees. Or whatever doomsday scenario you are promoting today.

But "closed" is "closed" and "open" is "open"

you keep convenitently ignoring the comments about transponders being turned off...... you keep pointing to what you "know" and ignoring what you don't know. Which in your case is legion.

Umm it’s pretty wide. It would be like parking your car blocking one street and claiming you stopped traffic through the entire city. There were shops anchored all over it.

You guys are spiking the football over some imaginary win, which fine, enjoy. But, I think the admin. would be acting much differently right now if they didn't anticipate problems in energy markets.

They are buying from the Saudis and us.

Again…there is a glut of oil in the world right now.

It's just oddly not reflected in the commodity prices. Maybe because there isn't a glut of oil.

I'm not spiking a football. We have a long way to go to get back to fully normal and operational in the SOH.

I'm addressing someone who is trying to create doomsday scenario's out of a bunch of propaganda and threats from a pretty neutered country.

I'm tired of SFP being the Iranian propaganda arm. That's not spiking a football.

If you want to address somebody, address Bahgdad Bob and his BS

And you don’t know shite about the global oil markets. That much is clear based on your posts in this thread.

The Saudis have expanded the capacity of their east-west pipeline to bypass the Strait. Their ramped up production was affirmative action to mitigate the closing of the strait.

But go ahead and keep disagreeing with the consensus of economists and people who know far more than we do about this matter. Loogaroo on Tigerdroppings has spoken and because his buddies in Texas are doing ok right now, he knows what’s up.

They are buying less so other countries can have the oil they're not buying.

You just made my argument for me.

Thanks for proving closing the SOH doesn’t matter anymore.

Why is the price of oil dropping?

Sinking one of their neighbors tankers would probably get everyone in the region rat packing Iran and anything Iranian. The neighbors would probably light up all that stored oil and delete Kharg island.

If Iran actually begins to start sinking tankers all domestic pushback in America to a full scale war using dumb bombs, destroying their cities and eliminating their civilian infrastructure would be removed.

The moment that happens all constraints are gone and it would be total war on them and millions if not tens of millions of Iranian soldiers and unfortunately civilians would die as a tragic byproduct of that action and open the door to a likely real invasion.

There is a balance to their response because they know that the moment they go too far the response will be biblical and global.

Is China going to help them when the global economy is in free fall as a result of their actions? No, they would be viewed as a pariah state as well.
