It sounds sad. Can't imagine living such a bitter life while being fortunate enough to reside in the greatest country in the history of the world.

I'm not sure why you think I'm bitter. I have a great life.

One of the reasons that life is so great is I don't tie my entire identity to the whims of a politician. You should try it. It might even feel liberating for you.

Foreign policy changes per admin. We are where we are because of Obama and Biden stupid shite, having to clean it up is messy. What you see as stupid shite, I see as clean up. Putting your head in the sand and appeasement isn’t foreign policy. Domestic policy is easy to clean up. Enforce immigration laws, cancel executive orders, hold people accountable,

I thought we were talking about the crowd that bitched so much it was almost comical.

anybody who reads you posts can see how unbitter you are.

I tie my life to American Exceptionalism. That's not tied to any one person, or political party. It transends both. But it does require a frim belief in our actions for the greater good. Here's the/a deifintion

American exceptionalism is the belief that the United States is inherently unique, exemplary, or morally superior to other nations. It suggests that the U.S. holds a special role on the world stage due to its unique origins, democratic ideals, and historical trajectory.

maybe you should try it some time. maybe it will feel liberating for you.

I generally believe this.

I'm also not naive about it. We can't be the best at everything and the idea that we are morally superior is questionable at best. We might be morally superior to most nations but we have had some very large moral failings in our history (as have all nations). I don't think there is much value in harping about it 24/7 but it's also foolish to pretend that things didn't happen.

so you "generally" believe it....... followed immediately by all the reasons it's most likely not true.

got it.

Threats don't work forever if you can't back them up. That's why.

And in this case, the fact that they haven't done it indicates they either can't and would have to get really lucky, or they won't because they know what would then happen.

Probably a bit of both.
