What's comical is that people will argue having a state issued ID prevents people from exercising their right to vote, but somehow it's okay to make exercising your right to bear arms incredibly difficult.
Limiting the rights of 99.999999999999999999 % of the citizens who aren't using firearms to kill people on a daily basis is not the answer.

We developed so much as a society that the average person doesn’t need a gun. The country is actually that safe, and food is that easy by which to come. Therefore, a lot of people through the past two generations have shown little to no interest in learning about or possessing guns.
A person who has never touched a gun and knows little to nothing about guns is, naturally, easily freaked out by guns.
This is 100% the answer.
