Why can’t this this board admit yesterday was a disaster for the GOP?

1. Biden, while still old and not a worthy candidate, looked put together enough to sway any moderate voter who was on the fence about his cognitive ability.
2. His face at MTG is now a national internet gif and people are loving it.
3. Truth Social is such a shite platform, it shut off during the speech.
4. Kait Britt’s rebuttal was a laughable joke and is getting mocked by the entire country, including republicans.
Do these things matter? Probably not, who knows. But in all the ways yesterday could have went, you’d have to imagine this was as bad as it could get for the GOP in terms of optics.

All I took away from your OP was Biden is less of a problem than Trump.
That’s a yuge problem

Because one mediocre talk where he can stand for an hour without dying doesn’t wipe out 4 years of policy crushing Americans and and funding anywhere else

People will have long forgotten about this by summer. Especially when joe is not drugged up and starts embarrassing himself again in interviews which is a formality

It wasn't great. The bar was incredibly low and Biden exceeded it. Realistically it could have only gone "well" if Biden had a catastrophic moment. He had a few senile slurs but I think people are immune to it. MTG also looks like a clown and not what suburban women want to be associated with. Britt was a shitshow.
That all said, people will forget about all this within a week or two, let alone 8 months.

I don’t know. I don’t think these speeches matter but his whole demeanor during that speech was deeply troubling to me. He isn’t well and isn’t presidential. At all.

Very true. The small percentage of legit undecided voters in this country will have plenty of chances to see Biden look old and senile before the election that will make them forget about last night's "better" appearance.
The debates, if we actually see any, will play a larger role than normal in this election.

Disaster is pretty strong.
Biden being able to form coherent sentences for an hour being the standard is pretty fricking low, and I'm sure a lot of people realize that.

Drugged-up Biden is a bigger topic of discussion than any "point" he tried to make. Britt was a dud but it was far from being a "disaster" for the GOP.

If you look at this board, you see there is a lot of criticism directed at the GOP. So your insinuation is false.
Regarding your specific points…
Disagree. It was a campaign speech to his party base of leftist progressives meant to fire them up. And it did. To moderates and independents, it came off as angry, partisan, and weird.
I haven’t seen that but it looks inconsequential. The more substantial aspect of MTG was her heckling of Biden which threw him off, especially during the mention of Riley where he went off script and used the term illegal in reference to illegal aliens, a first and a misstatement that drew ire from Pelosi.
It got record views, went to #1 on apps, and I followed along and it never shut down for me.
True. She sucked.
