What went right for the GOP last night?
Biden seemed energized and really manifested a positive, forward vision for America-- the economy, the reduction in crime, a new commitment to national security, preservation of healthcare for women, etc.
Katie Britt's rebuttal was a sin-- whatever its target audience, it missed the mark completely.
Right-wingers who say Biden will be replaced on the ticket don't get it. Biden is fit as a fiddle-- physically, emotionally and mentally. And his oratory last night would have put Seneca to shame.
Republicans on this board almost uniformly agreed the House Majority Leader is a feckless cuck; milque toast.
Biden seemed energized and really manifested a positive, forward vision for America-- the economy, the reduction in crime, a new commitment to national security, preservation of healthcare for women, etc.

I don't think a member of congress should dress like he or she is going to a pep rally. She looked like a moron. Dress like an adult who takes oneself seriously in the halls of congress. We aren't a serious country and we don't have a serious political class any more.
Go back and look at the Reagan SOTU video someone posted from 1982 earlier today. They looked and dressed like grown men who respected the American people and their role in serving them.
But also, in a practical sense, we should be trying to win over the middle of the country in 2024. That kind of silliness looks wild and ridiculous to those people.
