It was not a good day for all the reasons you mention. Trump should be able to wipe the floor with this old feeble guy, but he can't stop with junior high school bully speak.

List the presidential elections that were decided based on a State of the Union speech.

Next, list the presidential elections that were decided based on the other party's REBUTTAL of the State of the Union speech.

If you add the two and get anything but zero, you're living in some other universe.

If last night was a disaster for the GOP it was even a bigger disaster for the American people and the constitutional republic....the nation will not survive another four years of Jotato recklessness.

Yeah, Biden probably had all 3000 of his voters watching, the rest They will cheat for. The only disaster is there was no Voting reform thanks to the lazy arse Republicans

True.

Biden wasn't expected to be out of his usual coma. Yet, Big Pharm's mad scientists came through with a Torpedo Juice Cocktail that made him seem semi-coherent.

Interesting take; Sounds like an MSNBC-CNN talking point, frankly. (But you can't see the entire Parade of Insane Dims that aren't actual evil clowns? )

Moreover, if you can't understand MTG's role in the GOP bullpen, I can't help ya.

Rob is that you?

We’re watching our current and future President speak the truth with clarity and strength. So proud of President Biden. Republicans under the thumb of Trump are an embarrassment. When you can’t even applaud America’s success, you have no business serving in Congress.

Which parts of his message last night would sway moderates? I agree he physically looked and sounded better than I thought he would, but I’m not sure his angry yelling and his message is going to sway moderates

Just like every other speech - people see what they want to see.
And biden cannot open his mouth without lying his arse off.

How low are your standards for Biden? Sweet Jesus.

You realize that this as “sharp” as this man can possibly be? Absolutely pickled with the finest stimulants big pharma can provide. Eyes black as onyx, and still drooping and shaking and slurring. It’ll take him a week to sleep the drugs off. Whose finger is on the button this morning?

Why are our standards so skewed? If Biden manages not to shite himself in prime time, it’s a “win”. Meanwhile, if Trump doesn’t thunder away at the level of FDR or Churchill, he’s a failure.

Last night we watched an angry and confused old man pretending like everything broken is actually fixed. That was followed by a young senator who gave a great speech, just laid it on a bit too thick. And somehow the narrative is that this was a disaster for HER? wtf?

Right. Anyone who doesn't want to see further ascendency of swampy GOPe types on the national stage, should be celebrating this whole thing.

I will be shocked if Biden shows his face before Monday. Just imagine the amount of amphetamines and other concoctions that they pumped his body with to appear lucid.
