This is an “on the surface” argument that I can understand completely. No one likes these high gas prices, but if you view it in greater context you understand the reasoning, and this gives you a clear view of the difference between the two.

B/c we will eventually get something for this small inconvenience (nuke less Iran, stability in the M.E., etc) but with Biden all you got were higher gas prices

Not yet, but that places the bar awfully low when you are saying that it's acceptable for gasoline prices to be 4.00 a gallon on avg vs 4.40 on average.
Anytime gasoline price go up like this, it's not good for whomever is in charge. Trump won't pay a political price, but the Republicans will if this price structure lasts beyond Labor Day.
You can't tell regular folks that paying high prices for gasoline without a big war going on like WWII is somehow to their benefit, even long term. They are paying the price short term, daily.
