Who would not vote.

There are several right here in this forum who have declared they will not vote, thus allowing the opposition to vote for them.

As an aside, my grandfather had a disabling visual stroke in 1972 and could no longer drive a car. I offered to drive him to the polls to vote and he declined. He told me, "The last President I voted for was Herbert Hoover and anybody who voted for him doesn't have enough sense to be voting ."

Thank you for your efforts to attempt to get your grandfather to the polls. It’s incumbent on us to provide our elders an opportunity.

I don’t know why your grandfather didn’t want to vote for whomever the candidate was, but that was his decision.

After my father served in the South Pacific on PT 220, squadron 16 he voted every cycle because he fought for freedom and knew what that meant.

My parent’s were yellow dog democrats. I convinced them to vote for Ronald Reagan the first time he ran and they voted for Republicans every election after that. Sadly they are both gone now and have been for some time.

Believe it or not there are a decent many folks among us who will argue until they’re blue in the face that their not voting makes no difference. “Uh mean, it’s not like they’re voting for the Democrat”. Lol

**ETA - and I didn’t read the entire thread, so I’m sure it’s quite possible that someone has demonstrated this phenomenon already.
