Who is to blame concerning the capitol riot?

Individuals
First and foremost the blame must fall on the individuals. People are not drones and robots who cannot control their own actions. The vast majority of those protesting had means, motive (at least in their mind) and opportunity to engage in such behavior and did not do so. At the end of the day people are responsible for their behavior.
Leaders spewing nonsense
Yes I mean Trump. I am not saying this elected didn't have irregularities, but before you claim the election is "stolen" you should have your ducks in a row with clearly articulated evidence. And add in a host of others who repeated incendiary statements either out of a sincere belief or political opportunism. Our Sen. Kennedy is a borderline case. His general rhetorical tone was similar to Trump's but his specific words are carefully chosen.
The media
Just as Trump and his crew did not do a good making their case, the media simple refused to hear the side of people airing their grievances. Of course the media has lost so much credibility with their one-sided, antagonistic coverage, I doubt that an even-handed investigation would have done much good. That said they should have still done it. (I could go on a longer screed that media are the biggest long-term problem behind all this, but I will leave that to another day.)
So at end of the day, individuals need to take it upon themselves to investigate claims using a variety of sources, not just those that tell you want you already think or want to hear. Leaders should use reason and evidence. And the media should just do their job of reporting without bias or agenda.

What did he say that leads you to this, like specifically.
It seems we are going to repeat the Charlottesville speech debacle again. I would like to avoid that.

All that Q shite and the people who rioted.
Everyone wants to blame who they want to blame, and not the people who actually did it.

The individuals. Personal fricking responsibility is in short supply. I dont care what Trump said. It was always up to the individual.

Cool, now do BLMantifa. It isn't a real riot without arson and murder. Show the pros.

The people who committed the election are to blame for all of it. That is who should beheld responsible.

Years and years of incompetence and stealing of the American people by our Government.

How many people were actually at these riots?
Posted on 1/8/21 at 12:12 pm to BigJim
Starts with media and politicians. Then throw in some conspiracy theorists and people fed up with being trampled on.
But if this was a “riot” what in the hell was all of last year?

The people who did it. Personal responsibility has gone out the window.
