While this is true, I must also always point out the uncomfortable truth.
"SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" has been infringed to hell and deeper. Every gun "law" is wholly unconstitutional. I'm not opposed to background checks that already exist on basic purchases but that's the extent of my "bend". If I want to buy a MilSpec M249, I should be able to pass my background check and buy one. If I want to buy a full-auto MP5, I should be able to do so. I want a 40mm M203 on every rifle I own, but noooooo.
The only reason we even have a "Second Amendment" at this point, is that there are plenty of firearms already in circulation to prevent its nullification. The first time it was ever infringed, essentially rendered it completely obsolete. The entire purpose of that Amendment was that it prevented the government from taking away a right granted to us inherently upon birth into this world.
