I'm totally puzzled as to why any of the officers with her didn't shoot the one that was beating her with the stick/rod. That's attempted murder.

1. Female cop is abused
2. Female cop shoots perp

If you assault a police officer in a pack someone should get shot because you are well past the point of de-escalation.
Put the body cams on, set the rules of engagement publicly and let the chips fall where they do.

My late father-in-law told me in the '80s that we would never bring blacks up to basic middle class standards. He also told me that they would eventually bring everybody down to theirs. He was damn right and I'm glad in a way he's not here to see it.
