I tend to agree with what you are trying to say but your statement also supports the mindset of those who will give it up.

The players are there to entertain. As long as that’s the case I’ll watch. I’ll just snicker at their self important view of themselves.

In normal times and a normal culture - perhaps.

Apathy is taken for acceptance today - This evil must be actively opposed at every opportunity.

Apathy is what created NAZI Germany. ==> the closing phrase ".... and when they came for me, nobody was left to defend me" should be the 'bloody shirt" WE wave in our justified anger and opposition to what is happening.

So just let the left win again.

That IS fighting back. When the left takes offense at something, they make as much noise as possible. As a result, giant companies are filling their pages with the logo of a hate group right now. Hit them in the pocketbook and they'll start to change their tune. Let it slide off you and they'll know they have you either way.

Yep. OUT. And I wont look back either, because there is simply nothing to look back to as college football no longer has any significance for me at that point.

I’m delighted that I was able to watch LSU have the season it had this past year, but there is simply a lot more to life than LSU and college football. I just switch gears. That’s all.

Millions of viewers turning off sports in protest to the political injection is about as big a message that we can send. TV networks, various leagues and conferences, and athletic departments themselves will be scrambling to make up for the lost revenue. Speaking with our wallet and letting the free market handle this is the best option we have.

What does the flag have to do with all this anyway?

There are many other ways these idiots could protest and not have the people who support them making a choice.

To answer your question. Yes I am out.

I wish we had more Herschel Walkers in the sports world, but sadly we don't

Building off this question...

In the SEC, most if not all teams don't come out of the locker room until after the anthem is played. I know at Auburn and Tennessee, as soon as the players come out, the band starts back into the stands and the captains go to the center of the field for the coin toss.

However, what happens (in general) if band members/majorettes/flag line take knees during the anthem? Do they get booed?

I think the bands will try to pull that stunt. And yes I hope they get booed off the field.

I was just going to say ...SEC Teams come out after the anthem. Keep them inside until the bands clear the field.

I think they get booed and booted at the same time. They’re supposed to stand in formation, not draw attention to themselves, and there’s usually a lot of members standing in line for the opportunity to move up to marching and representing their schools on the football field. It’s not as if they can’t be replaced and easily, and those marching know it too, so it better be worth it, because they are gone for good.

Going to hang with the wife and kids. I'm already trying to figure out how much fishing I can do if it happens. I also have a track day car to fool with. What the hell am I going to watch when the smokers going, though?

College football teams are NOT on the field for the national anthem.

I disagree with kneeling, but if they were on the field and kneeled...I would not boo, turn my back or stop watching, I would then be disrespecting my WHY to standing and be no different than those kneeling. They also have a right to kneel, tgats the great thing about America.

The real joke about college players taking a knee is that most of them wouldn't qualify academically to be at their school.

already did. I was a season ticket holder for 20 years when Mizzou players went full retard for a fake hunger strike and fake events. I haven't been to a home game since.

I used to make at least 2 road games, too and I even gave those up. I enjoyed the road games more than home games just for the aspect of seeing new venues and meeting fans from different places.

Now I have more time with my kids on the weekends and golf.

I absolutely will. LSU will never duplicate last year anyway, so I'm good.

Time for us to grow up and realize that the glittery media "events" we glue our eyes to just don't matter very much.

I agree with these sentiments as well, on the Bama side. We will never win 5 titles in 9 years again shite has been a crazy ride.

But seriously, I hope we can move past this and come together and enjoy a pastime as a society again. But if not, I will definitely try and have some self respect and walk away from it.
