When will dumb arse Congress address Squatters?

The most insane legally protected situation there ever was. It’s too bizarre to comprehend that this can actually happen and it happens all the time

Squatters are more of a state thing.
The US Congress exists to funnel and launder money through Ukraine.

Let’s ship our squatters to China so they can live in the ghost cities.

I think you’re on to something

Hell more of a local thing, really.

How did this become a thing?
Makes zero sense.

I don’t know, but, when they do, you won’t like the address. If you DO like the address, then a few calls will be made, threats of “say, we have a short film of you and your page” will be whispered, and you once again won’t like the address.

It's been a thing for a long time but it's just a hot topic and is being pushed a lot now for some reason.
It's typically isolated to a few states that have very pro-tenant laws.

That's an issue for state and local governments, but the federal government will inject itself (on behalf of the squatters) if/when the former starts cracking down on these miscreants.

Local DA's and States AG's need to be fired.
Someone would have to squat one of their mansions and then maybe they would wake up.
It is as ignorant as MSNBC and Ppepermint Patty laughing at Ohio & PA worried about their borders and immigration.

Isn't this a State issue? I really do not want Congress in the middle of real estate and home ownership...

No.
We can't complain about the growth of the federal government while simultaneously demanding they take on my responsibilities.
This, to me, is a 10th Amendment issue (especially in light of SCOTUS' reasoning in Kelo).

This. Congress needs to stay the frick out of state governance. We need less, not more, federal involvement.

I always associated “squatters” to be more of an urban thing with bums taking up residence in an abandoned commercial business.
That differs from todays squatters, who are opportunity seekers and grifters scouring the internet for obituary notices with a plan to move in.

They have very little to do with this, unless you could prove some sort of criminal conspiracy.

Tomato tomato.
Yes, you see this typically in more Leftist states with major urban areas (which create the pro-tenant laws), but it's been going on for a long time.
In the algorithm of life, this has been forced as a hot topic lately for some reason.

State issue. Let the blue POS states allow it.
Florida just removed squatters rights via legislative action.
The fake lease shite is maddening. But that’s over now in Florida.

Could it because people are losing their homes and the murder?

Democrats won't address squatters because Squatters Rights are one of the left's tools in their war on private landlords.
