this has been forced as a hot topic lately for some reason.

Because people are tired of the bullshite and owners are speaking up?

What’s your conspiracy theory you hinted at?

Squatters rights are nonexistent if you own a firearm

If it is your property, advise them you are back to live there and they are trespassers and you will go to your master bedroom and come out in 15 minutes and if they are not off the property they will be shot as you are fearful for your life.

Call 911 and advised that a bunch of people have just broken into your home and you think they are trying to kill you

Shoot away

There are people teaching others how to do it. Depending on the state you can live free for a good long time. The owner can’t kick you out, turn off the water or remove the doors.

The leftist states care more about the actual criminal.

The new way to pull this off is to find an empty house to rent, break in and present a fake lease to the cops.

That very example led to Florida crushing squatters rights.

I don't often give legal advice, but I will here: Do not do this. You will run the risk of a premeditated murder charge.

This is a great example of government getting bigger

1. State problem becomes federal with Congress involved.
2. We have laws already that protect property owners. This isn't a widesprrad issue and I'd love to know stats around how big this problem actually is....

So to sum it up this isn't a real issue but you want to federalize it and create more laws around it.....liberals running amok on this place lately. First it was less gun rights and now squatting.

These are local issues.

The last thing we want is the federal govt involved. It will involve spending that you'll never recover.

Until someone pops a cap in the squatters arse for breaking and entering. I bet the liberal DA’s and AG’s would suddenly come alive.

And it’s coming. Someone is going to do this and it will be justified and turned into a crime.

My front door is for your protection, not mine.

mm

Judging by your past legal advice and your opinions on legal matters I feel 100% confident in totally ignoring everything you potentially say or have that about the law as being a complete opposite of what it actually is

They have addressed it by doing nothing.

Squatters are more important and moral than home owners.

State issues. Property issues are handled on the local level. No need for Congressional overreacting.

Should be a state issue but the feds could make it a federal one if they chose.

I'm thinking some liberal judge way back when sympathized with these cockroaches and gave them rights.

too bizarre to comprehend that this can actually happen

It’s by design, this is a communist thing, make laws to take/steal property from certain groups and give it to certain others

The Feds answer will be throw shite loads of borrowed money at cities and non-profits.

Thats always their answer, and why it keeps failing. Creates a bunch of temporary bureaucratic jobs though.

Squatters will be addressed as soon as someone finds and releases Blackrock’s property holdings to illegal aliens

Once a few million illegals squat in their property, it will become the greatest existential crisis facing the nation

Local DA's and States AG's need to be fired.

It's usually the legislatures that are to blame, not the DA or AG. When the statutes themselves are shitty, there isn't much that they can do.
