While I agree that is all great music, I can’t deny that there is a change in music over time regardless of what style. It’s the people that listen who determines if that music is good enough to survive, clearly Broadway in Nashville is full of today’s greats & fans. I rather enjoy the fun myself there but I prefer 60’s & 70’s rock, southern rock comes first with me. But that crack about the same Kimmel taste comes as him denouncing country music as a whole just sounded like what you were intending

There's country music other than NASHVILLE country music. Nashville sucks. Might I suggest some Red Dirt?

Probably on the short list of fake alphas here but I like morgam wallen.

But if you gonna pick musicians based on politics you might have to make your own beats.

I mentioned Colter Wall to my brother & sister in law that keep their TV on CMT and they never heard of him, and quickly told me he was a nobody.

There hasn’t been country music made in more than a decade. Nothing out of Nashville is country anymore and very little of it is worth listening to at all.

There are still great artists out there making real country music, guys like Brenn Hill, Ned Leduoux, and a couple others come to mind.

There is plenty of great country music out there. Turn off your damn radio, stop expecting it to be spoonfed to you.

It is a conspiracy. No sarcasm. If you don't do as you are told, you get swept under the rug. Country music I thought would never be infiltrated. That was years ago and boy was I wrong. I can't believe how fast they took over.

Worst "music" in history during the past 15 years or so

Definitely the worst "country music" in the last couple of decades for sure. But by far not the worst music.

You've gotta completely get away from label artists to find good music today. Mainstream "rock" is a bunch of hip-hop beats with emotionally fragile effeminate frontmen. Mainstream "metal" is a synthesized and digitized version of "rock" with better drummers. Hip-hop is just complete shite.

The 90s was the last era of really good music across the board. Most of it really didn't make sense, especially in the rock/grunge category that dominated the mainstream, but that is also ironically why it was so popular and made so much sense in the moment. And if you're talking about country, I sure as hell miss some prime Alan Jackson, early Tim McGraw, pre-Trisha Garth and the twilight years of George Strait's prime.

I despite what has happened across the entire music industry.
