According to everyone on this board, everyone else is a boomer.

I’ve been confidently called a boomer here too many times to count…….and I’m nowhere near that generation.

Take it when you are 62. You don't know how long you will live. And, SS is a 1/3rd of the money I need.

62.. and I am waiting on my first SS check...

Hookers and Blow baby.. Hookers and blow...

Wait... My old lady says Blood pressure pills and Malox... Never mind.

But anyways, I can do more with the money now than if I wait.

Waiting for full retirement age. If I apply before I will get zero because I make too much money. Also, if you apply before FRA your eventual payments will be reduced.

Just turned 61.

I’m going to work till 67.5. Barring health
problems which I don’t have yet.

My wife is 57. Her insurance is high premium
which covers everything but is 3000 per month.

I don’t hate my job.

I mean this seriously, I'd like to work a few more years. What I do is exciting and I feel important.
I completely understand. What I did outweighed any desire to retire, and so I wasn't looking to retire. But when, at age 68 I was offered early retirement (big company. They had to offer everyone over age 60 an early retirement package), and, at first, it was big no for me. But then, after prayer, I knew it was the right thing for me to do. I was international, with huge responsibilities and half a billion $ in working project revenue, and close to another billion $ in my sales funnel. But my mom was dying and lived in another state. My family needed my help. It was the best decision I ever made.

I spent quality time with my mom and learned so much in her last two years before finally passing late last year. In the same time I had time to work on my health and have lost over 60 pounds through diet and exercise. I run and incline walk, trail run, workout with resistance, weights and lots of planks, pull-ups and push-ups. You wouldn't recognize me as I went from a puffy, eating too well and drinking too much lifestyle to now where I look like someone who goes to the gym and takes care of their body.

If I did go back to work it would have to remain in the defense and space industries with a lot of autonony and authority.
