I would disagree on China as they are just looking to institute their own version of globalism (see: Belt & Road).

Australia, Japan, Germany, the UK all refusing to help us. These are countries that are allowed to exist in their current states due to our protection. We spend billions, possibly trillions, to protect them and settle their disputes.
This is not their war, I am not necessarily condemning some of the approach we took, but why would anyone else want to fight a war for us and Israel when Iran did nothing to anyone else but exist.
This is now taking too long and destroying our economy. We need adults in the room.

Its turned into a cartel of globalism and woke politics that launder US tax dollars to enrich themselves.

I’m far from smart, especially when it comes to politics and war games. What would happen if we pulled out? We’d have more money to ourselves, maybe pay down some of the deficit or use it to continue to build our own military.
But this would force Europe to build up their army. They’d have to spend money. Is there a risk they could one day (collectively) overcome the power of America’s military?
Could we just be purposefully paying for these other nations to not have a strong military? Less competition for us, no?

Our "allies" used US military dominance and protection to hollow out their own defenses and, instead, fund massive socialist welfare states that are too weak to defend themselves. They are of no use as allies and are so far go e that they no longer share our principles or ideals.
What's more, they are the prototype of where the American left wants to steer our country. We do not serve our own interests by playing to them.

Its purpose is to provide bureaucrats cushy salaries. Robert Taft opposed NATO.

Our allies typically help us out, but thats when they are part of the decision making process.
There are 30 something countries in NATO all with opinions. They could only hamper us when we are considering what to do with a country madly working toward a nuclear weapon. It shows that NATO is really a one way street when it comes to their security or in particular cases, our's. Iran can simply use the propaganda machine to separate our interests from NATO. I think it's done.

Two of those nations aren’t in NATO.
Why would we expect anyone to help us in this current endeavor? Us and Israel popped off and opened this can of worms, why would anyone else want to be stuck with picking up the pieces indefinitely?

The majority of our debt is internal. A small fraction was borrowed from other countries.
The total foreign owned debt is around 9 trillion. The national debt is 38 trillion. Do you consider 9 trillion a small fraction or are my numbers wrong?

You may not see a need for the alliance but the locations of our military bases in Europe sure are necessary for us to maintain the same level of force projection around the world.

Funny that no other country in the world wants or needs this "force projection" you speak of.
I wonder if you ever wonder why our government is hated by so many others all over the world and if you do wonder, do you ever connect the dots

Years ago, I heard this from a UK friend…
NATO is here to:
Keep the Americans in, the Russians out, and the Germans down.

The point of NATO is defensive. Members dont have to help out in an offensive war of choice.
Iran has been killing our citizens for decades. Just because Trump is the only president with balls to not continually kick the can down the road, it doesn't mean it is an offensive war.
Maybe you're too young to remember Iran taking our sailors hostage under limpwristed Obama. Iran should have been leveled for that alone.
This fight has been a long time coming. You should ask yourself why people who hate America like Obama refused to do anything about it and why Trump, the most patriotic president we've seen, finally decided that attacks on our citizens would no longer be tolerated.
You support the actions of presidents whose goal was to ruin the country.
This conflict is a direct result of the actions of the terrorist regime in Iran.

Sure they do. China is rapidly expanding its military force projection from regional defense to global operations, . include growing its nuclear arsenal to over 1,000 warheads by 2030, enhancing its navy with three operational carriers (targeting nine by 2035), and modernizing its air force with stealth fighters and long-range bombers. Its only got a handful of bases outside of China but they definitely want to expand.

I wonder about a lot of things. If you dont believe in the use of US military force outside of direct defense of the homeland then I can understand you not seeing the point of maintaining bases within NATO. I was just pointing out that we stand to lose a lot of our military capability.

NATO is fixing to get the wrath of DJT.....and they deserve it....
Germany says "this is not our war" LOL
This a military event that is great for the entire world!

Well we will find out as the state of affairs endures over the next few weeks...or months.....or years. I would venture to say that a cost/benefit analysis was done and deemed by every president since Reagan as being too risky and not worth our blood and treasure. Perhaps Trump will prove them wrong...but I have my doubts.

Launder American taxpayer dollars to pay for the defense of Europe from Russian expansion so that Europeans can enjoy better working conditions, free higher education, and cradle to grave entitlements.

To be honest, Japan is the one that surprises me the most. But I can understand it, because they're likely keeping their powdered dry and keeping an eye on what's happening in the South China Sea and the potential ramifications.
I can forgive them for that.
Australia and Germany have been cucked for years now, and the UK might as well be the new seat of the Muslim Brotherhood.
