It would look like a country where the government has full control of the citizens.

If either party were completely in power for an extended period of time the country would be in trouble.

The main issue with the ideology of the left is they don't understand you have to be a productive member at society at some point

And all the young 18 to 26 year olds are enticed to register to vote with knowledge only that republicans are bad and dems are good. No knowledge of what really works for the entire country.

Venezuela is the obvious answer, but I'll go out on a limb and say that I'd say modern South Africa.

What would happen is the donations would cease. Without a "demonized" party to scare the electorate, there is nothing to drive political contributions.

The Dems would split into a conservative and a progressive party, so that a dichotomy could exist.

Once the dichotomy is re-established, they could demonize the opposition and scare up donations.

Any questions?

That is a fair question that quite frankly, not many would even have the answer to.

I would counter with, what would Republicans have the world look like, with no Democratic influence?

Well, conservativism is fundamentally about "leave well enough alone"

So nothing would change if left to the GOP

It would be scary if either side had full control. Both sides have an extremist end of the spectrum that would ruin any society. Be thankful there are checks and balances, even to your own side of the aisle.

I'm afraid you'll have your answer in 15-20 years and it's not going to be what the founders sacrificed for.

And New Zealand would have the highest GDP in the world as Americans would flee there along with their money & knowledge.

The right would need control of government and the judiciary for 20-30 years just to swing the political pendulum back towards the middle.
