I voted for Kip Holden over Billy N for Lt. Gov. I think Kip would have been good rubbing the tourism stuff.

In most of my local elections, my only choice is democrat.

I also voted Edwards over Duke and Edwards is one of the biggest crooks (meaning most far reaching) to ever hold elected office.

I voted for Zell Miller a bunch. My grandfather was his secretary.

Not sure that's really the type of thing you're looking for.

This was true in most of Texas when I was growing up, but that was some time ago. I am a bit surprised that there are still places where the GOP does not even TRY.

Where are you? (no need for specifics).

So you’re a right leaning libertarian that voted for McCain and Romney yet won’t vote for trump because you hate his act.

That’s hilarious man.

Objectively speaking his presidency seems to align with youre “right leaning libertarian” principle. If you don’t agree - you cant say a McCain and Romney presidency would’ve be in line with your political view point.

In retrospect, it took a candidate as bad as Donald Trump for me to realize that “GOP < > limited government.” I grew up under Reagan, so I suppose that to some extent I was a victim of confirmation bias in early adulthood.

Had the GOP offered someone that bad eight years earlier, I hope I would have come to that realization sooner.

Not really. He is a New York business-friendly Democrat. Always has been and always will be. He just added some populist demagoguery to the act, like adding some gold-plate to a mediocre apartment unit, and a lot of people bought what he was selling.

Perfectly-aligned? Of course. not. But more-so than Obama. Neither was my first choice from the starting primary field (Paul and Gingrich).

i admit, i was fooled and voted for bill the first time on his promise of lowering health insurance costs so everyone could afford it. plus at that time, the dimrats werent insane haters of america.

of course that was a lie and they turned it into replacing private insurance with hillary care BS

i dont even remember the republican but it was maybe dole i think. that guy just screamed hobbled gimp who was unable to do the job and then when he fell off the stage i had enough and couldnt vote for someone that weak and feeble as POTUS

with obama second term i didnt vote POTUS at all because romney was no different then a democrat so i couldnt vote for him and that left me with no one to vote for

OK, name a president whose policies have been more libertarian than Trump's in the last 100 years.

I've voted for some LP candidates, but have never, and can't imagine a scenario under which I ever would, vote for a Democrat.

Also voted for a dem for assessor because he’s really great at his job

I have voted Libertarian in the past two presidential elections. Will be MAGA in 2020.

NEVER for a national election.

Closest I came was for JFK. Sort of a toss-up for me - but I liked Nixon because I was more familiar with him. Was not aware of gutter politics at the time.

All other DEM votes have been for local elections.

Had I been in Louisiana when David Duke got the nomination - I'd have voted against him.

OH - only time I had to ponder was for Carter vs Ford - I din't like Ford's pardon of Nixon for "all crimes known or unknown" didn't like that - but Carter seemed way to liberal - and that was back when there was a semblance of integrity in the DEMOCRAT party. He was the last one.

I cannot choose Jefferson?

Seriously, we have not HAD one that I would call libertarian. Reagan had a handful of libertarian views, but he was more a Main Street guy.

Among CANDIDATES, Paul and Goldwater.

Voted Kathleen Blanco in the Louisiana governor’s election and regretted it as I watched her melt down on national TV in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina.

Trump is by far the most "right leaning" president we have ever had policy wise.

The people that "boo who" bc they don't like what he says are ridiculous.

He's fighting back against libs/msm/deepstate/GOPers.
