Red Eagle. FYI, Chatrie v. United States, 146 S.Ct 2878 decided 6/29/26 is a much better case for your argument (you are welcome). BTW both Carpenter and Chatrie involved private data bases (Google CSLI and HL).

I suspect when a case makes it to SCOTUS they will rule that Law Enforcement will need a search warrant to obtain the Flock info in the absence of exigent circumstances.

It's being abused by law enforcement. There is no reason for vehicle make and models, license plate readings, registration info, etc. of law abiding citizens that havent broke any laws, to be entered into a private database without probable cause. It's illegal surveillance.

Now let's talk about Flock Freeform, and how you can use ALPR's to find people without a license plate based on clothing, appearance, bumper stickers, all to make a heat map of your past movements.

I'd love to hear how Jones and Chatrie say this form of warrantless surveillance is illegal without a warrant, but somehow you don't need one for Flock Cameras.

A DMV database IS NOT the same as a database created and maintained by a private company allowing anyone access to your personal data without going before a judge for any warrant or probable cause.

Just wait til they start reading the new Louisiana DMV QR code stickers with all your personal data, and storing on their servers. How long before your info is hacked and your safety and personal data is out there for every criminal to see.

BTW your cell phone sends a signal to a cell site every 2 minutes. It does so whether your phone is in a public area or in a private residence. The location of every tower you ping is recorded by your carrier. It is called CSLI and can be obtained with a search warrant.

Also for you folks who use Google Location History, that gives your precise location (not just tower) and is also kept by Google. It can be obtained with a search warrant.
