No, they haven't. Cameras have been around for years. AI powered analytical cameras that constantly identify and track everyone everywhere they go have definitely not been around for 'decades.'

I am a securiy practioner. I have been attending global technology shows for 25 years. The first one I attended there were cameras with "video analytics" on display. License plate readeers have been around for decades. Flock is simply a different brand of the camera. The original poster is absolutely correct as to the reasoning behind the recent uproar. The Flock CEO runs his mouth about the coopration with ICE, this is his marketing campaign.

One thing I don't understand is how the frick do they allow every officers to have access to the system? I could see if detectives did, but why should a line level officer?

Here's a question for you. If your wife/kids/grandkids were kidnapped and a ring camera captures the license plate of the suspect, why wouldn't you want every police officer to have access to the license plate reader cameras?
Isn't he lining up to run for Govenor or Senator for Kentucky?
Flock shares the license plates they caputre with ICE. Anti LP readers are anti ICE.

Mine is:

These cameras are an unwarranted invasion of privacy. Since its a private company doing the surveillance, it allows law enforcement to access the data WITHOUT probable cause for a search warrant.

It's being abused by law enforcement. There is no reason for vehicle make and models, license plate readings, registration info, etc. of law abiding citizens that havent broke any laws, to be entered into a private database without probable cause. It's illegal surveillance.

The 4th amendment is just as important as the 1st and 2nd.

There is no invasion of privacy. Every state requires you to display your license plate prominantly. It might be worth your time to familiarize yourself with what it can and can't do.

The true hate surrounding Flock cameras is about ICE. Flock shares LP info with ICE.

The Navajo Nation just announced buying hundreds of Flock cameras to deploy on their 27,000 acre land.

I think so. I think people can be charged with shooting/attacking a police canine. Maybe that is a state by state thing..

WW3 already happened. It is also known as the Cold War.
Moving to Kentucky in the next 12-18 months. Can't wait to vote against him.

ICE at Sky Harbor Airport

Traveled from Phoenix to Las Vegas yesterday. First encounter was with an ICE officer that took my ID, put it in the machine and verified my picutre She was super hot, super friendly and super effecient. There were two other ICE Officers working the x-ray line, one pushing luggage and the other helping passengers collect their baggage, TSA running the x-ray machine. Both of these guys were smiling, friendly and helpful.

The vast majority of the passengers were very supportive of them. I asked one of the guys, why are you so happy? He said, "are you kidding, with the things I've been involved with the last couple of months, this is a piece of cake." I can't wait to come back tomorrow".

Wait line was about 10 minutes with pre-check.

How’d Glenn Frey & Randy Meisner look?

You saw Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr and are saying you saw the Beatles.

the Eagles at the Sphere

Got an opportunity a couple of weeks ago to see the Eagles at the Sphere. It was an 11 out of 10. Awesome venue.

Trump signed a pretty big deal today on data centers and power. It is a win/win. Google it if you want to appear smart.
He is trying to cover up the camera. Amatuer Hour.
Communities should require whomever is building these Data Centers to build their own power plants.

The federal government is one big money laundering scheme.
I'm surprised that the agents are eating in public with their uniform on. Seems like a risk of poisoning their food.
