This is why people always cheering about the DNC being broke are missing the big picture. Dems have an almost limitless amount of cash they can funnel to whoever they want. Just because the DNC is nearly bankrupt doesnt impact all the NGO controlled accounts out there totaling billions that have been stolen the last few years and are ready to be directed anywhere needed.

“Texas is in play” has been said in every somewhat recent election of national significance, as I recall. Along with the seeming panic that accompanies it. It seems to constitute some sort pattern, I’d say.

follow up question... where is his funding originating? Tell me it's out of state. Texas cannot fall or it is over for the republicans and we enter the age of the progressives and I have no desire to see that happen nationally. It's bad enough seeing cities and states fall to that garbage as it will end with communism. We've seen the Left over the last 20 years go from denying that there were socialistic leanings in the party to widely embracing it. What's the next 20 years gonna look like if they're even further emboldened and acquire power? That's scary stuff to me.

Yes but I don’t view Paxton as a shite candidate.

He’s been elected and reelected multiple times in statewide office against heavily funded opponents. He drove a stake through the heart of GOPe Prince George P Bush.

Paxton is despised by Democrats. I think that’s a good thing.

Paxton is despised by the GOPe and in particularly the Texas GOPe. I think that’s a good thing.

Karl Rove and Trey Gowdy were on Fox News yesterday sniping about how much they hate Paxton. That’s a good thing.

I think this is more about traditional GOPe revenue streams not funding Paxton. And that’s fine, I think that’s a good sign too, it’s just that others need to pick up the heavy lifting. Hopefully that’s Trump and his funds, along with others.

Because there are certainly GOPe factions that hope Paxton loses and Talarico wins out of two reasons: spite and control.

Even in Texas Trump isn't that popular. He was just the better option than Harris.

Rural and even urban Texans are starting to push back at the massive amount of data centers being built there so the anti corporate sentiment is starting to gain steam.

Do I think Talarico wins? If I had to guess no but it won't be a blow out. Paxton isn't a great candidate and people are starting to get fed up with MAGA's shite pretty much everywhere.
