Most white liberal women over the age of 55 will never change. They will always be Democrat… no matter what. A pollster recently said it goes back to the 60s and 70s… days of hippies, women’s lib, abortion, etc.

For God’s sake, don’t let them become affluent.

True, but sadly I believe that woman will end up being filthy rich by continuing to play her phony role and scheming the system. But, perhaps educated black women* like her who don't stand to benefit from the corrupt political system can be won over as we go forward.

* I'm assuming that, by now, almost everybody has seen the video of her speaking normally (and well), and know that Crockett's little ghetto routine is just an act.

I've said this in other topics and I genuinely believe that the reason why black Americans are the only minority so shifted towards one party is due things that suggest middle-class membership such as home ownership.

Nothing makes a working class person align their politics with those who make vastly more money than them than giving them an asset with nearly perpetual appreciation in value.

The reason we see this is because of how integrating black people into society went after the Civil War. The US government really should have given the freed men that 40 acres and a mule. They needed equal access to the near free real estate grabs that seeded generations of wealth accumulation for many white people (Homestead Act, etc). Also, the fact that we immediately ended the greenbacks and went back to specie-backed currency after the end of the Civil War despite the continued need for just printing money to rebuild the South for poor whites and the newly freed slaves was a big mistake too. Probably can blame pressure from the Bank of England on that one more than the GOP politicians of the time.

I do think a lot of the maladies of black America is due to unequal access to things that helped build the broad middle class. It is something that lingers and gets more expensive to address the further we get from their ancestor's emancipation. At this juncture, it is easy to understand why most would rather deny it than say "it's too expensive to right this wrong, sorry" because that makes you feel bad. I'm willing to admit it'd be too damn expensive to fix 160 years later, so they're just going to have to work harder than most to get into the middle class all while it is almost permanently contracting in this country. Dems da breaks...however that means that they're almost certainly never going to become a part of a constituency that broadly represents the interest of small holders and above.
