And then Trump will do nothing about the domestic terrorists that will be running rampant. This is one of 2 things I disagree with Trump about.

Which is why I said mostly. Portland was very real obviously, but if you watch Fox you’d think they were roaming every major city and that just wasn’t true

Let’s tease this out a bit.

There was semi-organized violence and rioting for a large part of 2020 in urban centers across the United States.

What should we call the organizers of those events?

Wow. I guess all of those streams that I watched of them rioting in cities all over the country, going back to Obama's second term, were just my imagination.

Correct, Portland was real. Also every time they took opportunities in other cities it was real. If it’s joining BLM “protests” etc those people did harm. Fox isn’t making it up.

Who organized the violence in the other cities? It’s not made up violence.

If you wanted to argue Antifa is inappropriate shorthand for what is a collection of socialist/communist/anarchist ne’er do wells with some similar goals, I might be on board.

You cannot, in good faith, make the argument that there wasn’t organized rioting and property damage in many, many urban centers in the US.

Terrorists is a good starting point

Semi-organized

The organization varied widely. It was just total chaos, clearly a riot with no leaders or direction in my city. In Portland it was something much different. My point was that outside of Portland there just wasn’t the level of numbers and organization but if you watch Fox or Newsmax you’d believe they were like that everywhere. I think the Denver antifa “chapter” was only like 5 incel looking dudes

Definitely not organic. Citizen protests generally don't have an organizational name, branding, or a media presence.

This is what the anarchists who currently market themselves as “Antifa” do. The core group has been around since the 1970’s and take advantage of social conflicts to chip away at the system. Most recently, they protested capitalism by rioting during G20 summits and through the Occupy movement. I believe the 1% paid the string pullers off handsomely and now the anarchists have pivoted to fighting white supremacy. The core group stays in place and attract whatever disaffected gutter punks happen to be roaming the streets at the time as foot soldiers.

Anytime some leftist trash tells you Antifa is not real, there is a 100% chance they are either a supporter OR an active member.
