Democrats and grassroots is an oxymoron but maybe a bad candidate. Trump only +1 in 2020 is pretty telling. Not sure what kind of area it is.

Look at the map.

Older lifetime democrat voting rural black folks and new transplant young gubment workers living in overpriced apartments. Demographics tells the story.
Pitiful really.

Maybe ivf/abortion.

Republicans greatly underestimate how important that is to a lot of people.

It’s Madison County/Huntsville area.

There is a reason Alabama is a red state.

1. The seat was open because the GOP incumbent resigned due to voter fraud conviction.

2. The Democratic candidate had significantly more support from her party than the GOP candidate had from his.

3. The district is in a part of Huntsville which is growing rapidly with government transplants.

4. Very few people voted. We’re talking maybe 10% turn out if that much.

This was a perfect storm for a meaningless seat to flip in the lower house of the state legislature dominated by the GOP.

Huntsville has been trending purple for awhile because of all the federal contractors and tech companies. It attracts younger people, who, frankly, tend to be a bunch of pussies.

It’s insane why they didn’t have them on the ballot when we had Super Tuesday a couple of weeks ago. Most people probably didn’t pay attention.

Liberal Nick Saban rubbed off on them.
But seriously. Do you think a few generations of liberal education in public schools and universities won’t show up in voting patterns?
