Could buy California
Could develop a world wide information liberty paramilitary group
Could fund a democratic coup in South Africa to restore rational government
Could fund the technology that makes drones obsolete
Could fund a world wide doge effort to stamp out government scams
Could take on the WEF, globalist's, EU, Rothschilds elites domination of Western Europe
Now that he has more money resources than most countries in the world, there has got be successes available that will establish his presence in world history. AND,,, there has got to be an unlimited number of politicians that are terribly afraid of his impact and are already planning to destroy him.

He owns shares in companies that other people are buying and selling at a price that would make his shares worth $1 trillion.
The net assets of those companies aren't that much, and if he tried to sell it all for cash the price would tank.

folks are correct, his trillion dollars is not in gold, cash, t-bills. A better way to describe his wealth is the power to influence. And the politically motivated will look at that with fear and lust.
Take his Spacex/starlink valuation. He has the influence/power to control world wide ambitions for communication and space travel. The EU is terrified that Starlink will totally trash their ability to control speech , Therefor they must destroy Musk
