Never liked the timing of this military confrontation with Iran but I also understood the confrontation was inevitable. Time to see this through Mr President to the end, their end.

The US could cease nearly all Iranian economic activity and destroy their infrastructure, essentially bringing the Islamic Regime to its knees but do the American people have the stomach for the global criticism that comes with such an operation?

All Trump is going to get dealing with these IRGC radicals and these radical political and religious leaders is more of same. He will never get any agreement they will follow either now or in the future that will stand up. They will chunk it the first time they think they can get away with it and that’s if they ever really follow it at all. We will never cut a lasting meaningful deal with these people so why bother trying at this point. It’s wasting time and money.
The only way I can see of getting this solved via an agreement and have something that will last years into the future is cut a deal with some General in the regular Iranian army. Those guys are not supposed to be as radical. There you might find a more corrupt individual and less of a hardcore religious radical that might fight the IRGC and other and take over the country if the US and Israel takes out all these people in charge now in air strikes and make them effectively combat ineffective. If we offered a bunch of this sanctioned money to one of these Generals and then killed enough of the IRGC to make it worth it then they might fight on our behalf and do what we want after until we can find someone to run the place. All that is still a tall order and unlikely but it would be a better strategy than what we are currently trying to pursue. Dealing with the IRGC isn’t possible and waste of time and taxpayer money.

Their military will only give up when it looks hopeless and they will flee to save their life.
That means we have to pull off the restraints and start kiliing military not just infrastructure.
The world can help them after the war is won.

Trump will give them every last chance to make it right...then they will have no excuses. He knows how they operate and that they will never uphold an agreement.

Just get it over with. Fvk this cat and mouse game. Make Lockheed and Raytheon a bunch of money and come the fvk home.

Since we have so many viable alternatives I guess we'd better pick from that vast array instead.

Yes but eventually boots have to go on the ground to finish this. Trump doesn’t want to put American boots on the ground. We either have to arm the people, try to cut a deal with those in the regular Iranian military, or come up with someone else. Until the IRGC has been decimated to the point that the rest of Iran both the people or those in the regular military feel comfortable enough to fight these radicals in charge then they are not going to risk their lives. Boots have to go on the ground at some point to solve this problem.

It was time to finally finish this off and put it to bed once and for all or Trump will be dealing with this the rest of his term and then pass it to the next President.
I think he should keep it as low key as possible until the midterms. That gives us about eight months to restock, gather intelligence, and plan new tactics. Then obliterate them.
