I'm specifically referring to the people who claimed the fire at the large chicken house was caused by our government to hike egg prices.

But....why?

Is that "I told you so" gotcha for 3 people on the board that important?

The birds are real but they eggs they are manufacturing is not real. They are making fake eggs that have absolutely nothing to do with real birds.

I realize this isn't a grocery item, but I am looking at Tractor Supplys kennel tops today.
All they are is some metal tubing, a tarp, some straps and some clamps.
5 years ago, these were $99.
Today they are $189.

Groceries are still way higher than 3 years ago.

I posted before that the biggest price increase at the grocery store is dog food. Ironically, the drop in egg prices has helped out. Dogs LOVE eggs.

Wait, you mean decreased demand for a good causes the price of that good to be lowered?

Prices were artificially inflated 2-3 times on purpose.

But rejoice because you saved another 14 cents on your bbq.

Everyone is still thousands and thousands of dollars in the hole and counting. Plus muh Ukrainian democracy.

But look at the eggs!

You sad pathetic fool.

Eggs are part of the penetration pricing strategy. Cheap eggs will need expensive bacon, flour, milk, salt, pepper, etc.

Yeah the only things I've seen drop at the grocery store are eggs, chicken and milk.

Everything else is still expensive.

My kid wanted some cereal the other day and I said "grab a box and throw it in the cart" and as she did I saw the price and it was $8 for a box of cereal.

I suddenly started to realize why grocery shopping for a small family is a $200+ trip every time.

Same ones who claimed the train derailment was the act of the government.

And that Trump colluded with Russia in the election?

Under Trump vs now under Biden:

2 dozen eggs were 4, went to 8, now back to 6.

So much for the conspiracy theory.

I'm paying an average 18% more just to exist than I was during the Trump presidency, and only making 3.5% more.

My cost of living actually decreased by 3.2% during the Trump presidency while my income increased 12.6%.

Conspire that.
