China needs that oil to fend off collapse more than any other Nation. The coming meeting between Trump and the CCP will spell this out. Either China helps end Jihadist Iran or they pay dearly.
The Mullahs would have owned Europe, slammed the Jews with nukes if needed and set their sights on colonizing America via immigration like in Europe. The Democrat Party would be fine with this. Trump saw it coming and attacked and now it’s up to Xi to determine the future.
I’m inclined to go with the Biblical Prophetic Narrative re the “end times “ as it perfectly matches the current and likely future scenarios. To each their own. But pointing fingers and assigning perceived blame won’t change the reality.

Iran has been in danger of "getting the bomb" for a long, long time. Why is it suddenly an issue, even after we dropped bunker busters on their facilities and were told the problem was solved? Trump's defining characteristic is his ego. It's what made him a bit more than the usual stuffed uniparty suit in some respects and its what is going to be his undoing here. This war ended MAGA. As this thing lingers on, Trump is going to lose more and more of his influence and soon that will lead to the GOP dropping its masks and going after him with fangs bared. When the democrats take Congress, he's over and anyone wearing his mark - Vance or otherwise - is likely done for. All because he wanted to flex on a problem that only demanded an immediate solution for Netanyahu, not us.

I wanted regime change. I said on this board it was a stupid idea. But when it started i suspended disbelief and hoped for the best.

I’d prefer regime change. That’s really the only option at this point. They’ve proven they’re willing to close the strait when their back is against the wall and that simply cannot be allowed. The threat cannot even be allowed to exist.
If we don’t get regime change then frick it, just let them have nukes so them and Israel can have mutually assured destruction and the region will be more stable than without a nuclear armed Iran.

People forget the amount of cash Obama and Biden gave them. Then look at Europe. Half of Paris is infested with potential Supreme Leaders. Trump had no choice but to make a move.
