So you provided a Facebook link that didn’t work and you didn’t quote any of the article/post.

I regret that I only have one downvote to give.

I clicked "Follow Link" once the FB link loaded, and it took me to an article about a rancher. Weird.

just wait til they fill the 87,000 new IRS jobs funding by the “Inflation Reduction Act”

they say the IRS won’t be going after anyone making less than $400k/year, but why do you need 87,000 new IRS agents to chase the 700 or so billionares in this country?

You would think a sheriff in a rural parish would side with the farmers and the small businesses associated with them. Not this a-hole!! Louisiana politicians suck.

This, unfortunately, has nothing to do with the law. The Sheriff is wrong, but if he fishes with the judge, the judge will look past the law, and rule against the baw who is doing the work and earning the money.

If the judge is honest, and rules for Baw, he is still out a bunch of legal fees, and the Sheriff should have to reimburse him, Plus some for all the wasted time.

Randy Seal is the stereotypical sheriff that loves seeing his name in the papers giving tough-guy quotes when his deputies make arrests.

quote:

"If he's raising the livestock, then he's processing it, it's still his farm-raised," said Louisiana Agricultural and Forestry Commissioner Mike Strain. "A manufactured product would be if you took that meat and cooked it and sold it as ready to eat."

"It can't be any clearer," Strain said. Strain sent a letter to Smith noting the provisions in state law and the uniform commercial code that specifically call meat a farm product.

"Based on these statutes, farm products raised on the farm and sold directly to consumers by the farmer are tax exempt," Strain's letter said.

I don't know how much more cut and dry it could be? I don't know how this Boss Hogg wanna-be even got this to court.

Brother, I can tell you’ve never run afoul of a rural La parish sheriff or their lackeys.

SUBPART F. OFFICIAL MISCONDUCT AND

CORRUPT PRACTICES

§134. Malfeasance in office

A. Malfeasance in office is committed when any public officer or public employee shall:

(1) Intentionally refuse or fail to perform any duty lawfully required of him, as such officer or employee; or

(2) Intentionally perform any such duty in an unlawful manner; or

(3) Knowingly permit any other public officer or public employee, under his authority, to intentionally refuse or fail to perform any duty lawfully required of him, or to perform any such duty in an unlawful manner.

How is this Sheriff not committing Malfeasance if he has been told by the government entity directly related to the issue that he is wrong?

Doesn't sound like a good way to get re-elected as Sheriff.

This is retarded. The sheriff is going to lose, and quite honestly he should be charged with misconduct
