They are omnipotent and infallible, while 95%+ of the population are mindless sheople, yet the establishment needs unending wacky shenanigans to keep all us dummies from possibly getting hip to them.

If the "evil establishment" had it's way then Hilary Clinton would be president.
So you do believe there's an "evil establishment."

quote:

But she didn't control all of the minds of individual thinking people.
And the evil establishment is so inept, it can't control elections? How did it become the establishment if it can't even control government?

quote:

You ask what are you afraid of....Tell you what....Go live in a nation where you have no vote and come back in a year and give us a report comrade...if you survive the re-education camps of course.
So the establishment has no control over elections, government, nor our educational system.

Can someone please explain to me what we're supposed to be concerned about from these bumbling fools?

So, it is your view that propaganda doesn't exist?

BTW, I'd say 70-75%, not 95%+.....unless you're talking about this board.

Because every now and then the Brexits happen and the Trumps of the world beat the Clinton’s. The liberal tears and mass hysteria sustain me.

Most simply, they overestimated their candidate, and underestimated her opponent.

And severely underestimated the people, whom they believed would never vote for a "joke" candidate like Trump.

how is this possible when the people who actually elect the president would have been selected years before trump ever campaigned?

you're forgetting about the "republic" part

For those of you who believe in this evil global establishment that holds this firm grip on things, why would you bother voting?

Local politicians affect your everyday life a lot more than the people you see in Washington. Those people are on the ballots too when people go to vote.

I imagine there would have been quite the uproar if the EC electors went against the election results. Besides, perhaps they believed the Russian collusion thing would work. Ever since the election their efforts to take down Trump have been haphazard. They never thought they would lose.

Quite the uproar.. he lost the popular vote

The only way the theory is even feasible is if it starts years before Trump announced his campaign. The idea that people controlling the most powerful intelligence apparatus in world were somehow too lazy or inept to rig an election is absurd.

It really is a great example of "deus ex machina".. it doesn't work in literature and it works even less in real life.

That isn't how the game is played. The team that gains the most yards doesn't always win; it's the team with the most points at the end.

You honestly don't believe that if the electors went against the voters of their respective state, there wouldn't have been an uproar?

This is my point.

If the evil globalist establishment elite is so incompetent, someone explain to me why any of us should be the least bit concerned about it.

Everyone has danced around it (surprise, surprise) but nobody has addressed it.
