It doesnt take much "mental gymnastics" to understand that one is a government issue ID and the other is not.

But we all know what you are doing, laying the ground work for you excuses when abortion barbie gets cremated today. Gotta beat that ban bet, amirite?

Student ID's are nothing more than debit cards with a picture on it.

You do vote with your debit card as proof of ID?

What about the private universities???

Why do you want to disenfranchise the private students?

He's saying that the ID issued to universities isn't meant to be used outside of the university and doesn't have the same strict validation requirements of the government IDs (drivers license, CCL, etc.)

It's pretty embarrassing that you didn't recognize this on your own.

Student id's are a joke. Student workers often run the issuing of them. Is that a government of or even trustworthy? Does it indicate actual state of residence? Could one not have a driver's licence from La. and vote in La. then use their student id to vote in Texas?

DS, you are just upset that your candidate is on her way to receive a 20 point count punch.

for the purposes of voting, it's more than enough.

And, because student IDs are free (at least at some schools) it would actually help get around the argument that voter ID laws are a defacto poll tax.

I can't keep giving you this free advice. make better arguments.

If the bill is going to their official home address in CA, they can't vote in TX.

What bullshite straw are you going to grab at next?

if texas cared about voter fraud, they would make it possible to vote without a DL - i mean photo ID and mail at your current address is more than sufficient to get your DL, why would that not be enough to vote?

oh yeah, to make sure those pesky dems don't get to vote.
