I don't particularly like McCarthy, so I'm confused as to what you're implying

Gaetz had the balls to finally stir the pot and hopefully make Republicans beholden to their constituents

By having a small minority of the GOP join in with the DEMs?

95%+ of the GOP voted for KM and their constituents support that.

I would guess a majority of Republican voters couldn’t articulate why they do or should care about this.

It would be my wish that Trump gets nominated and the full vote of every house republican

I do wonder what happens to all the legal challenges if he becomes speaker? Do they get put on hold ... and then maybe he wins the presidency

Of course he would oversee biden impeachment

It would be absolutely glorious TBH

Lifelong Republican checking in. Literally voted for every R until the age of Trump

No lifelong Republican would vote a dem just because of Trump. The dems are destroying this country. You are either brain dead or just a dem, just didn’t know it until now.

96% of the GOP voted for KM today.

They'll be up for re-election next year. How many of that 210 will be primaried by MAGA for today's vote?

A majority of Republican voters really think Hilary Clinton has a satanic grooming facility for children on the moon.

McCarthy endorsed Trump, and Trump returned the favor. Or vice versa.
Either way, Kevin is Donnie’s boy.

Rep. Matt Gaetz
@RepMattGaetz
We should get to electing a new, more conservative and more trustworthy Speaker immediately.

I'm calling on @PatrickMcHenry, who is currently the Speaker Pro Tem, to reconsider the decision that he just made to send everyone in Congress home for a week.

This is not the time to go home for a week. We should stay and elect a new Speaker.

Either way, Matt Gaetz just escorted Hakeem Jeffries into the speaker's chair.

The Republican party is no more than a heap of ashes now.
