He's a snake oil salesman. He will say things he knows appeal to certain conservative sensibilities as a means to win you over to trust him. We need less opportunistic, arrogant manipulators in power, not more.

He qualifies it with “in our faith tradition”.
I disagree with his faith tradition whatever that may be, but I also disagree with Protestants who think they can interpret the bible on their own and determine by that interpretation how to get to heaven.
I also disagree with Catholics who take communion in a state of grave sin.
I Vivek the ideal conservative candidate? No. If it comes down to Vivek (R) vs whoever (D) and I voting for the democrat? No.

Just because he has a different faith, you cast him aside? I think the H1B stuff is a valid criticism against him, but this shouldn't be. He was having a nice conversation about his religious beliefs.

To be fair. He's of a completely different religion. It's already rare for someone of a completely different religion to acknowledge other religions.

This is how our party weakens... just because any old slob with an R is "better than a democrat", we end up accepting some pretty awful candidates.

We are founded as a Christian nation. I have no problem with his religious belief until it comes to running a state it changes the dynamics of what we strive to be for
