How does that make sense?

Israel has an absurd amount of influence over us - that's how.

Exactly. Not our problem. We shouldn't be this involved.

GOP Rep. Marlin Stutzman met with Netanyahu in Jerusalem last week to hand-deliver him a draft resolution to advance the Israeli PM's plan to shift US aid to Israel into a "partnership" run through the Pentagon that could be immune to political shifts and public accountability.

Netanyahu's plan—which he's trying to ram through Congress before Trump leaves office—is *worse* than our current "aid" relationship, which could potentially end in a few years or so with a simple vote in Congress.

"This was actually something that came from Netanyahu," Stutzman told CNN on Wednesday, citing his recent appearance on 60 Minutes. "He would like to see us move away from the $3.8 billion annual supplement… We've been called it 'aid to trade.'"

"[Netanyahu] was very open and excited to see the resolution!"

Netanyahu thanked Stutzman in a letter for endorsing what the foreign head of state called "my plan" to "shift the framework for US-Israel defense cooperation from aid to partnership."

Ted: "I came into congress 13 years ago with the stated intention of being the leading defender of Israel in the United States senate and I've worked every day to do that." I'd assume this was a fake quote if he wasn't on video saying it.

Also, Ted's seen the Indian (dot not feather) population rise from 246k to 570k in his state during his time in office and he's done nothing to stop/slow it. He's actually encouraged it through his past H1B support, although he's since flipped.

I’m not sure how this is controversial.

It gives insight into how he was feeling at the time.

You can be anti-Muslim and anti-doeverythingisraeldemands. They aren't mutually exclusive
Charlie's goal was to maintain the 2024 coalition while pleasing his donors and the admin. He was put in an impossible spot with Trump's action in Iran because he knew large components of the coalition (anyone under 50, any anti-war libertarians, any isolationists, anyone who thought the GWOT was ultimately a mistake and waste of resources), would not support it for almost any reason (and specially not the same one we've heard since the 1990s). He had to try to convince people that this wasn't going to be prolonged and it wasn't going to involve boots on the ground, and he obviously resented it. Have you seen his texts about his donors shortly before he died? I'd check them out.

Texts
Then why do they both smash him in views?

Best way to find a roommate?

I'm currently looking for a roommate in Lafayette. Asking friends was my first choice, but they're all currently situated. Anyone have any websites/apps they recommend?
Get a clanker to do it for you. Mine has been great.

False, both are bad

all these poor arse democrats can't afford their gas lol

I'm far more concerned that a foreign country controls our foreign policy than I am about gas prices, although that sucks too. I'm a life long republican, I'm just sick of the obtuse foreign influence driving the country overseas and the backtracking on campaign promises.

Nope. That’s AI. Trump has been incredibly consistent about Iran and military conflicts in the Middle East.
