Me, too, RG. Vote should have been 7-0 instead of 4-3. That part bothers me a lot.

There were 4 violations of their constitution in Virginia, they only got to one of them, as it was already over… this was a scam

Yeah. The wording was clearly intentional deceiving and yet 3 POS radicals voted to uphold.

Out VA forefathers would have handled this much differently.

So far in the 2026 Redistricting wars Dems picked up 5 in Cali and 1 in Utah. VA would would have been +4.

Yet another Gavin Newsome failure.

Democrats should have just tried to fight the new Texas maps through the courts. Texas was only redrawing at the request of the DOJ over supposed racial gerrymandering on the old maps. Then Newsome had to try to grab headlines and redraw California's districts while making it no secret they were doing it to stick it to Republicans. Now look at the end result....Republicans are gaining even more seats because Newsome's actions prompted more red states to redraw their own maps. And since so many blue state maps are already gerrymandered to hell, Illinois and New York can't really redraw theirs to create more blue seats.

SWVA has much more in common with Eastern Tennessee than it does Arlington or Fairfax Counties.

... is just smoke and mirrors, and dream sequences run amuck. The idea that Republicans will net a gain of 9 seats in a clearly anti-Trump, anti-Republican election cycle is distilled delusion.

Many Republican House seats in 2024 were attained by razor-thin margins; all of these will go Democratic this year. A lot of the newly drawn districts will remain democratic as well, is spite of the Radical Right's best plans. The truth is Trump's wars and tariffs are wildly unpopular; the rapidly rising energy costs, with no end in sight threatens to scuttle a shaky economy.

My home state of Texas, famous for its status as a "red" bulwark, is turning blue. Polls show that 1 in 4 Texas Republican voters will select James Talarico, the Democratic Senate nominee, if Ken Paxton, the favorite for the Republican slot, is selected in the runoff May 26th.

Too bad the GOP in Cali doesn’t do the same. Cali has a much higher standard for not doing this

Jeffries pledges to fight Virginia Supreme Court’s striking down of new House map
quote:

"We are exploring all options to overturn this shocking decision," Jeffries said in a statement. "No matter what it takes, House Democrats will win in November so we can help rescue this nation from the extremism being unleashed by Donald Trump and Republicans.

"Our fight is not over," Jeffries added. "We are just getting started."

Another person here from SWVA...and yes, I have voted for Dems in the past in VA (Chuck Robb, Mark Warner (before he has went crazy), etc...but this new crop in NOVA (where I unfortunately live) is a whole new kind of crazy.

And Dan Helmer..lol...little midget bitch...so happy right now.
