Vice President Harris should "step aside," Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker wrote on Friday, as she called the vice president's performance "disappointing," and warned she's become a "burden to the Democratic ticket."

While she said she was pulling for Harris to succeed, Parker argued her performance "has been disappointing."

"The Kamala conundrum comes down to this: She was picked because she was Black and female, a combo tantamount to job security. Now that she has become a burden to the Democratic ticket, Biden can’t fire her. He can’t risk alienating his base. Full stop. The seriousness of this situation can’t be overstated. Biden’s diminishing faculties, notwithstanding his relatively successful State of the Union address, and his increasing physical frailty are concerning," Parker wrote.

quote:

"Whatever the reasons, it has seemed that Harris’s role was to be quiet, lest she embarrass her boss with her sometimes inane, rambling remarks and a laugh that erupts from nowhere about nothing obvious to others," Parker wrote.

The headline to the column read, "For the country’s sake, Vice President Harris should step aside."

Parker argued that her perspective was not partisan as she also called for Sarah Palin to quit in 2008.

The fact that either one of these idiots have a significant “base” is sad and disturbing.

Kamala is very average, I agree. She is definitely not in the range of intellect we should have as a VP. However, she is sharper than the President so….

I was one that believed Biden would step aside shortly after he hit the 2 year mark so that Harris could have 10 years. She's so bad that the powers that be won't even give her the final 10 months.

If anyone needs a strong VP on the ticket it's Biden.

Cackles certainly isn't it.

I'm no fan of Kamala Harris but blaming her for anything (over Biden) is so stupid.

Joe has Hunter Biden around his neck and Harris is STILL an embarrassment to the party. Geeez what a shite show.

Told you they would push here out and everyone screamed about the race card would make her invincible....only if the media deemed it so....and now you see.

She better take what they offer her on the down low or they will Cuomo her arse in a new york minute.

MY choice is to offer her the U.S. Ambassador to Iceland position. Not much damage she can do to that country & we'll never hear about her again.

Why does the Washington Post employ these racist misogynists? She needs to be fired immediately or at least re educated.

This was my conclusion as soon as that ticket was announced. That was before I knew just how idiotic Harris really was - had not thought much about her, but never dreamed she could be that vacuous.

Now they are in a fix - surely they cannot really want her to be the heir apparent to the WH. I still think they replace Biden with someone =Michelle= under some 'emergency' power.

IF they go forward with this as their ticket in the 'election' - it just means to me they are affirming they have the outcome in the bag, and it doesn't matter whether or not we all know it - powerless to do anything to stop it.

See I believe much differently than your options. I believe they’re an utter shite show and getting worse by the day. The biggest contributing factor is that they’re far, far too arrogant to really see it, much less acknowledge it. They simply live day to day with the same daily goal over and over and over: get the Orangeman, with the secondary goal of getting the Orangeman’s supporters.

Just look what the imbeciles did at the SOTU - they were so obsessed with thinking it would be a poke to the chest of Trump and the Republicans’ and associated supporters by making Biden look like George Washington up there giving an historic and rousing speech to his troops with their chants in support of Biden and raucous behavior…….that they weren’t aware that they just locked him in as indeed the guy who would be on the ticket against Trump. And really hammered it home at that. It never even crossed the dummies’ one track minds.

Additionally, there’s no chance in hell that Harris volunteers to step aside thereby making herself appear to the country and world that she’s been given a vote of no confidence and needs to be thrown away. Waaay too arrogant for that. I know no one really believes that she’s a team player who is only concerned with the greater good of the Party. Not a single chance.

They’re so fricked.

Biden, not stroking out on stage before the meds wore off was a win, for him. His next appearance, he went back to the mumbling, dementia ridden presentation

She's one breath away from the Presidency. She's not going anywhere voluntarily.
