I see you linked it.
Good. People should know what a scam this is. It would be far cheaper for us to cut out the middle man.

Yeah, I developed a new perspective doing that. Glad I did it even though I let a girl guilt me into doing it.

I wonder how much the CEO of that “non-profit” makes.
Small food banks like the ones in NC probably get less than $50,000. They may be to small to have CEO’s
Large food banks like Community Food Bank in Atlanta get paid around $250,000, but they have over $140 million a year in funding. The 7 food banks in NC get a total of $11 million.

Food banks in NC do more than just supply food.
Yes they do more. Like pay the salaries of the upper echelon multi millions.
The very food bank mentioned in the OP... Here's their numbers.
2 MILLION in salaries to run the food bank that takes in 234 million and has 1 Million in assets.
Not only that, in their filing:
Notable Expenses Percent of Total Expenses
Executive Compensation $1,061,361
0.4%
Professional Fundraising Fees $2,072,243
0.9%
Other Salaries and Wages $12,165,050

We have sent 40-50 people every year for a long long time, it's enjoyable buy eye opening.

Did you require being paid millions?

I have volunteered in local food banks. The people that ran it was not getting anything except for what we raised. People donated. Stores donated.
This whole thread is not about those types of food banks. This is all about those multi millions that the upper echelon make. It's why they are up in arms.

Have you ever tried to obtain funding for fresh food?
Yep.
It's called a job. Everyone should have one.

Serious question. Any of this helping the Flood victims who were abandoned by the Biden Admin? Those folks I have no problem with receiving funds that I helped provide via taxes.

I’d rather food banks in NC than the laundering front in the Ukraine or illegals in CA or NY.
It's better than setting the money on fire, too, but I'd rather not spend federal money on food banks in NC.

And I think because of working in those, that it pisses me off even more to see people like the CEO of this type of food bank complain.
I know how hard we worked to start one. It was local pastors and their congregations that did it and worked it. It didn't take 1 million dollars. It took people that cared.
Man... this really pisses me off. The audacity to make this into a political game because you want your pay.... FRICK YOU.
That money paid to her alone would feed 1000s.

Reading your post is like watching one of those Discovery channel programs about aliens or big foot or mermaids.
You pose a lot of questions providing no answers, explanations or evidence then go on to say it may be this or that but no substance at all.
But by all means, continue to talk about a subject you know absolutely nothing about because it contributes so much to the discussion.

You sound like an angry phag who doesn't like when people explore many possibilities of a situation.

No it goes directly to the farmers that provide the food. Local Food Purchase Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program and Local Food for Schools Cooperative Agreement Program are a programs that pay local farmers to supply goods to food banks and schools. $11 million was cut for food banks in NC
Overall the USDA has cut over a $1 billion to Local Food Purchase Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program and Local Food for Schools Cooperative Agreement Program in 2025 and over $650 million in food would have went to schools.
If anybody is going to cheat the system with these programs it would be the farmers.

It does not. It goes into a pile of money to which the Food bank uses.
There is NO good explanation to why a food bank like Food Bank Of Central & Eastern North Carolina Inc needs that money.
Period. They simply DO NOT need it.
