It’s garbage music. It can’t succeed without being propped up.

And the black community really took a nosedive in the 90s when they started changing to that gansta rap.

I like some of the 80's music. The big hair and glam was odd but it sold.
When did MTV stop playing videos?

Damned if I know. I quit watching it around college but do remember the shift to programming reality shows.
I also remember watching Singled Out (?) because of prime Jenny McCarthy. She was obnoxious but smoking hot.
IIRC That whole think kicked off with Van Halen and then GNR and Motley Crue hitting big. But I agree that it got out of hand and one of the reasons the hair metal craze crashed. You can only take so much of dudes with makeup and long hair shredding at 100 mph.

Someone killed rock music.
I remember in the mid-90s when the transformation started. MTV and radio stations suddenly stopped playing rock music in favor of rap and hip-hop.

There was a post on here a couple of months ago about a record exec who was taken to a shady meeting where they were told to promote gangster rap.
All part of the plan to keep America divided. People that value hip hop culture mostly vote Democrat… people who despise it mainly vote Republican.

“Hip hop” is a disgrace to mankind!!

Was Charlie Daniels a rapper?
What in the ever loving frick are you talking about? You’re trying to argue that if Lizzo is a rapper, Charlie Daniel’s was a rapper? How retarded are you?
Charlie did the Devil Went Down to Georgia… that makes him a “rapper?” On the level of Lizzo?
