I'm kind of over party politics (at least of a binary nature) in general,

Fair. I've grown more and more disillusioned and dis-aligned with Republicans as an at large party. I think many voters made that shift in the Trump era but much of the old guard in leadership are either blind to it or much more likely they simply ignore it in favor of they way they've always done things. We're stupid, they're right.

The status quo is to do so via shock value, smearing, and virtue signaling. Distasteful AF for most right of center, but that's the playing field. And the GOP can either play the game, or continue to stack Ls.

So far, they've chosen the latter. We'll see if that changes any time soon.

You're spot on. I tried to choose my words carefully and state a baseline appreciation for Donalds the man rather than coming off as exploiting his blackness as a prop in the way Democrats so often do. It does feel distasteful, shallow and just gross. But you're right we're going to continue to get kneecapped until we get in the weeds.

my wife recently called me an "a-hole" in an argument when i refused to budge on an issue i found myself morally resolute on.

I asked if me being an a-hole and/or being called an a-hole for standing my ground on something was supposed to make me change my mind? You don't like my answer, so you're going to call me names to make me change my answer?
Obviously, divorce was the correct answer.

Amid publicity tour, porn star Stormy Daniels denies having an affair with Trump

And I voted for him twice without compunction. Can't think that kind of dude is fit for POTUS

you're misreading me. i can vote for Trump if he had an affair in the past. i'm not voting for somebody in an active affair.

and i voted for him in 2020. i thought he was lying in 2016 and i was wrong and have admitted as such.

i'm saying TP was wrong for denying her. i do think that a for a political group with more religious ties, it would be a harder pill to swallow having her there, which i think TP does have. I'm open to being wrong.

That has to mean there will be some movement when they come back in a few hours.

Not likely.

i've felt for a while that i have been growing further and further apart from the republican party for a decade or so.

That being said, my repulsion with the DNC is 10x my disgust with the GOP.

Republicans are just Democrats obeying the speed limit.

Then they need to drop the act and become a full-fledged religious organization Either way, it's disingenuous, as they supported Trump (which I believe was the correct call).
