Fair. I've grown more and more disillusioned and dis-aligned with Republicans as an at large party. I think many voters made that shift in the Trump era but much of the old guard in leadership are either blind to it or much more likely they simply ignore it in favor of they way they've always done things. I tried to choose my words carefully and state a baseline appreciation for Donalds the man rather than coming off as exploiting his blackness as a prop in the way Democrats so often do. It does feel distasteful, shallow and just gross. But you're right we're going to continue to get kneecapped until we get in the weeds.
