Obviously I can't speak to what you or those you know experience when you look at the political landscape/makeup but I can see how when Democrats brand us as racists, as a party for old white men, how someone not deep into politics might look across party leadership and say "oh well maybe they're right, this isn't the place for me". I'd like to see that change.
I've always looked at black voters, particularly those across the south who vote overwhelmingly Democrat and thought these are people that place emphasis on their families, they're religious people with an emphasis on their faith. Democrats are getting farther and farther from principles of faith and family but they still vote that way because thats just how it is. It's what's expected. Shouldn't there be an opportunity for our party to make inroads there and grow our voter base? It won't happen if you don't make an effort.
I don't want to lean on Donalds and make it sound like he's just a tool to exploit. I think he's got strong conservative chops. But I think he's someone we want with the highest visibility in the party. A principled conservative black man. I think he would provide an opportunity to show that principles of conservatism aren't white values but American values. We do need to grow the demographic footprint and like I said the opportunity is there as we saw in 2020. We need to take it.

Did I miss Spartz’s name being called?
Didn’t hear her.
CSPAN is still showing 0 votes in the Present column.

As did I, it has never had any affect in the past.
And it did not affect his sixth vote.

agreed. i've got nothing good to say about porn or porn stars (as a profession,) but they're a person with a soul and a vote.
i get you have a "brand to protect" but casting out people without hearing their voice was folly.

The biggest reason for failure is never making an effort.

Probably, but it’s not recorded, officially:

Maybe if McCarthy, McConnell and the rest of the republican leadership in Congress had done a damn thing over the last two years and actually tried to win the midterms they would not be in this situation. It is damn shame McConnell did not get the same treatment. Just show how many RINOs are in the senate.

I'm kind of over party politics (at least of a binary nature) in general, but this is precisely the case. Purposeful effort has to be made. When chances have arisen, the effort hasn't been there (i.e., Trump going with Oz's carpetbagging arse over Barnette).

At the federal level, they're ALL actors, in a sense. And as such, they're all tools to be exploited to various degrees. Politics is the art of persuasion. The status quo is to do so via shock value, smearing, and virtue signaling. Distasteful AF for most right of center, but that's the playing field. And the GOP can either play the game, or continue to stack Ls.
So far, they've chosen the latter. We'll see if that changes any time soon.

I'm so pissed I rallied some of the troops here in Hancock County to vote Ezell over Palazzo and first thing he does is vote for fricking McCarthy.

For far too long, conservatives left their leverage on the table and let the establishment ignore us and sideline us.
Real leadership is realizing that consolidating power in one person is unacceptable.

I do. Porn as an industry and adult talent as a profession is much more honorable and beneficial to society than politicians. By a CONSIDERABLE margin.

I actually didn't get it. TPUSA openly simped for Trump. Pornstar-loving Trump. Shouldn't have been an issue at all.
