I’m surprised the Fox News Decision Desk hasn’t called the Speaker race for McCarthy yet.

Here’s the problem. What if the Dems make a side deal with McCarthy and he agrees and then next vote all Dems vote for him. Thats the risk the Pubs are taking yet I’m proud of the 20 Patriots holding the line.

Not going to happen. They are waiting and sticking with Jeffries hoping that he sneaks in. He's only 6 votes short.

I do not see the Dems crossing over to vote for KM.

You think MTG is a RINO who wants to damage Amerca? Why because you disagree with her (as I do) on the next Speaker?

There are a lot of freshman Representatives whose families are waiting for them to be sworn in and this fiasco is only pissing off their family members and friends who flew up to see them sworn in. My take is McCarthy resigns from the race tonight.

I would be too but there are larger things at stake than a swearing in ceremony.

I’m assuming since they called another round tonight that they think they have the numbers now?

Or are they loading McCarthy into another test car again like a crash dummy?

Hannity, Newt, Karl Rove will school us but good tonight.

No one cares, Sean.

Also a kind warning some guy named Jake Sherman on a very lefty new news site that hails from MSNBC is spreading purposeful lies.

He is reporting that Kevin had a huge cursing hissy fit yesterday saying that he earned the job and will not back down.

Also saying that Matt and others said they prefer Hakeem (the radical extreme marxist the BCC has been fighting to get for years) over Kevin.

He is the one (with many others) feeding the democrats will take over soon rumors.

Kevin needs to give the gavel to Byron. But it would go to Scalise or Stefanik before any true outsider of the big E.

The big E needs shrunk. And for those that like Kevin ask what have they done for 50 years but lie and make up election spiels they never deliver

-No more new taxes

-Money in a lockbox

-Equal pay for women

-Protect SS

-Womens rights her body but GET THE VAX or you lose your job!

All meaningless tripe. Obama passed the Lily Ledbetter women's Pay Act. Trump did as well with Ivanka. Yet they make up stupid issues and do nothing but vote in their COLA raises.

No More!

McCarthy should step down, but the feelings of the families is probably reason number 1,000,391.

Sucks for them but it’s not a priority.

Have a friend there now waiting on Mike Ezell to be sworn in. Said he's coming home tomorrow regardless.

They should have sworn them in. But Kevin moved into the big Speaker office so he could have his fat roomate over with MTG to drink the best of the best from the balcony.

If the parties collude to make McCarthy Speaker, then I think the GOP is done. And there will probably be a lot of motions to vacate. 2024 will greatly erode their strength and it's downhill from there. But that path will be a winding road.

If the parties collude to make Jeffries the Speaker then the GOP is done by 2024. That path is straight downhill. A very steep hill.

The combination of the Speaker fiasco and the Omnibus has cooked the GOP goose, IMO.

I have looked at some surveys and comment sections on youtube. On Michael Knowles' channel, support for McCarthy is at 8%. I don't think Republican voters will tolerate McCarthy or any antics to get him the gavel. And if a Republican congress crosses over to give this to Jeffries, we will see a revolt against the GOP like never before.
