I watched a show where a lawyer went over the legalities of the international law and the laws they are using refer to a legitimate President. Maduro was not a legitimate President. They also discussed how an Article 51 gave them the authority to take action under international law.

The UN should send their forces into DC and kidnap Trump. See how that works out for them.

The UN doesn’t have any forces. The only reason that the UN had forces in the korean war was because the USSR was boycotting the UNSC and thus unable to veto the security council resolution.

Experts don't always have the appropriate expertise for the given situation and can easily be blinded by politics. See Fauci.

I'm very confident that we did NOT break any international laws.

I think the reactions from the various European countries basically confirm that. They ALL talk about "following international law", and then specifically state they did not accept Maduro as the legitimate leader of Venezuela.

If he's NOT the legitimate head of state, then we didn't "legally" overthrow him. He didn't have a legal position to be deposed from, technically. And that also means he doesn't have diplomatic immunity or otherwise be afforded the customary protections that a legitimate ruler would have.

He WAS on the US Most Wanted list, so what we did was go in and apprehend him, and bring him to face trial here. That's NOT against International Law. As of now, we are NOT occupying Venezuela, nor are we continuing to engage in any type of military attack on that country.

If you look at the social media posts of the actual leaders of France, Britain and Germany, you see this:
France (Macron) is openly saying it was good. That's a country on the UN Security Council along with us.
Britain (Starmer) is more measured, saying they weren't involved, and they want some more information on what happened.
Germany (Merz) says it's "complex"
quote:

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Saturday that Nicolas Maduro had "led his country to ruin" after the United States snatched the Venezuelan leader out of the country during a raid on Caracas.

Merz noted Germany had not recognised the last Venezuelan election as it was "rigged" and that Maduro had "played a problematic role in the region", including by "entangling Venezuela in the drug trade".

But he also said that the legal aspects of the US actions were "complex", and in general "the principles of international law must apply in relations between states".

"Political instability must not be allowed to arise in Venezuela now," Merz added.

International law is a joke. It’s the law of the jungle out there when a country really wants something bad enough. That’s how it always been. There’s a reason you don’t see lawyers in trenches

If you go look online, the majority of comments being made by leaders of other countries specifically state that they considered Maduro to be illegitimate. So, in their opinion, he wasn't the legit president of Venezuela, but instead a thug strongman who seized control.

That's an important distinction. We didn't overthrow a legitimate leader of a nation, we apprehended a thug. They can criticize how we went about doing it, but at the end of the day it gives them an out to say we were within legal bounds.

It's truly amazing how people seemingly support the release and reinstatement of Maduro

I could understand articles that criticized the decision to go in but also acknowledge the need to do it
