This shouldn't be a surprise for a school that employs 142 "equity officers" with an average salary of 97k plus benefits.
Guess it pays to major in Sociology after all.

Racism is the root of all evil and troubles in America, only more racism can fix it!

Quick notes.
A “minority” race student with a 3.0 (60 * 20 bonus)is the same as a white student with 4.0. (80 pts)
Also, 27 on act is only one point difference from a 36
Example:
White student with 3.8 and 33 ACT gets 88 pts
Black student with a 3.0 and 23 ACT gets 90 pts

Because the supreme court has supported this shite. Probably not anymore, though.

Nothing new, the EEOC has been doing this since the 1970s.

It already went to SCOTUS in 2003, and the 20 points was mentioned in that case.
Look at the SAT scale. Is it back to 1,600 or is this doc old? Also, didn’t GPAs go up to 5.0 with AP classes?
This may be really old news.

In a 6-3 decision on June 23, 2003, the Supreme Court ruled that the university's admission system was unconstitutional and violated the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The majority declared that the system of automatic distribution of points to every underrepresented minority applicant did not fit the individualized consideration requirement established in Regents of the University of California v. Bakke, nor was it a narrowly tailored consideration of race. The majority also rejected the argument that diversity cannot constitute a compelling state interest. The majority opinion was delivered by Chief Justice William Rehnquist and joined by Justices Sandra Day O'Connor, Antonin Scalia, Anthony Kennedy, Clarence Thomas, and Stephen Breyer.[1][3][5]
Rehnquist wrote the following in the majority opinion:[5]
“ Moreover, unlike Justice Powell’s example, where the race of a “particular black applicant” could be considered without being decisive, see Bakke, 438 U.S., at 317, the LSA’s automatic distribution of 20 points has the effect of making “the factor of race … decisive” for virtually every minimally qualified underrepresented minority applicant.[6]

It’s so damned condescending to suggest African Americans need affirmative action-type admission standards in order to succeed.
I noticed it's in Miscellaneous right next to poor and athlete.
I wonder if it's a way to sneak extra points to dumb athletes, since the two revenue sports are majority black.

Why can't black people buckle down and do the work like everyone else? Why do we have to babysit them their whole fricking life? They come out of the womb with their hands out and we just give them shite for nothing. What a joke.
